Moon Boots…
#1
[Image: Znc3rRKl.jpg]

So I just walked into a restaurant for a carryout! I noticed a girl wearing Moon Boots!

I think 40 years ago when I was 10 my mom bought me Moon Boots. They were my best friends until they got wet.

I am sure now they are waterproof!

Does anyone remember Moon Boots?

Are they back?

Everything comes back eventually.  There isn't a whole lot of creativity with movies, books, clothing, hairstyles, etc etc.  Just recycled ...

Yeah, we had moon boots, even back in the 70s Mine weren't waterproof so I'd still put newspaper or plastic trash bags over the liner. I beat the hell out of mine though, give me regular boots and thermal socks, and Im good

I just saw your reply! Same! Mine were soaked in 5 min! The plastic bags worked until I broke the ice on the stream near our house!

Lol

(Of course, they got them... even my wife had a pair...)

Sigh.... fashion.

I used to hound my parents too for moon boots in the late 1970’s lol.

I remember they were ambidextrous.

I have three granddaughters! Their ages just now are, thirteen, eleven and seven...might be six lol.

They have all worn at some point or other a kind of softer version of moon boots. I can't recall my daughter ever wearing them. She was born in 79.

The oldest one wears those sort of stylish chunky Doc Martin type ones. I lifted them the other day and they were heavy!

When I was growing up here in Glasgow we were in two camps regarding style. You were either a Levi or Wranglers type regards denim and the footwear was either Terry or brogues. I quickly jumped on the Doc Martin brand and that was me for three decades lol.

That’s funny! I love Doc Martins too! They are heavy and sturdy.

I have a 16 year old and he is asking for moon boots lol. He said dad all of my friends have them for winter. I told him to start working because I am of paying over $400.

In the late 70’s the price were $19,95 lol!
