Mass mental crisis

I am with most of the other posters; I don't see an increase in posts on the paranormal or mental illness online, persay. I think since we have a larger homeless problem now (seemingly) we have more mental illness visibility in our society, but I don't think that it's an increase in posts online.
There is definitely a crisis of mental health in that the average person is being bombarded with more social media BS and a fast pace of life , without having a solid spiritual and social foundation. Focus on the material and emotional instead of what is deeply fulfilling, has lead to a lot of people to crack, in often public ways. I never saw people screaming and stripping on airplanes before 2000. 
I don't think there is some great invasion of evil beings possessing people.

Often, with these metrics in place, we can pinpoint where "media" itself became the spark of such increases in conversation topics... a new movie, a new song, a new fiction production, a new "reality-TV" moment glorified for entertainment... et. al.

So much becomes 'recycled,' 'repackaged,' and 're-introduced' that we might have a hard time realizing from metrics alone what is happening.  Add to that that at no time have we ever not faced this metaphorical peril, we can presume to say this peril is always there... lack of 'signs' be damned.

Not saying this is the actual answer to your question, but it does offer another avenue for exploration...

I felt a while ago that we were entering a "Paradigm Shift".

The speed of thought has overtaken many minds and we are due for a big collapse in frequencies and especially in amplitudes. Sure, A.i. and the advent of much new technology may be a contributing factor, but it's normal in the big scheme of evolution me thinks. Two steps forward, one step back. Leapfrogging and stuttering each new moment.

With all the big things going on around the world and the continuing ability for news to travel fast, far and wide, it's inevitable we humans will go through tough times and with many perspectives.

It's part of the Human Condition. The trick I find is to accept everything, change and grow what you can and be the spark of your own life while energising others around you.

What if it's patently denigrating or unhealthy?
Maybe by accept you mean, acknowledge and process everything, not ignore it?
