BREAKING: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene RESIGNS FROM CONGRESS. "I will be resigning from office with my last day being January 5th, 2026." Wow. It comes just days after her feud with President Trump ramped up.

'Kay.

Bye.

*shrugs*
You must develop the ability to be disliked in order to free yourself from the prison of other people's opinions.

not surprised though, she wants to run for Governor of her state.

Buh bye Jewish space laser lady.

I knew she had zero political future left but her caving so quick is just awesome to see.
These theater kids all need to gtfo.
She was like the female version of Gaetz.
Good riddance.
The question is….where will she be found floating, the view, her own podcast, cnn, running for prez in ‘28? LoL

Remember this from way back on September 15th?….

In an explosive interview, @RepMTG told me she is ready to read Epstein victims’ list of names in Congress under immunity - breaking open the cover-up Washington has protected for decades.

Edited because I got it wrong.

Did everyone notice that her resignation date is 2 days after the cut off for her to be able to get benefits?

They don't get free healthcare but they do get a pretty sweetheart plan they have to pay premiums for; I don't think there's a service requirement for that though.

What she does get, and you are right, is a federal pension of between $41K and $71K a year, depending on what she signed up for and contributed to. That has a five year service requirement which she obviously timed her resignation to qualify for.

She doesn't start getting it until she's 62, and she's 51 now, though.

Think she's going to try for a governor run and the executive path, or go the newshead path? She'd be great on CNN! Lol

She surprised me honestly.

She used to come off as kind of unhinged, and quick to just purposefully be provocative.

Then she discovered a way to keep some of that rebellious spirit, but actually have a pragmatic way at communicating her positions. I was on the fence on whether she started becoming a political chameleon, or finding true convictions while evolving as a person and politician.

I will say, she remained one of the few that appeared to be a wild card that could actually do good.

All that said, I'm starting to lean at her just being a good political operative, reading the temperature and shifting just to fit the current environment. People are mimicking Trump, be provocative, get the free publicity, then find a way to establish yourself into the mainstream.

It looks like she may be cashing out while the iron is hot. If she had those convictions she spoke of, then now would be the time for her to push back against both sides of the establishment. Maybe she runs for senate, and has more power, but I think it's more likely she was a grifter.
