HBO just announced a new show called Project MKUltra from David Chase, the guy who made The Sopranos.

The Sopranos creator David Chase is revisiting a dark chapter in CIA history with Project: MKUltra, a limited series in development at HBO.

The project, which would make Chase’s first series since his groundbreaking HBO mob drama, will be based on the non-fiction book Project Mind Control: Sidney Gottlieb, the CIA, and the Tragedy of MKUltra by author John Lisle. Chase has optioned the book and will write the adaptation which falls under the first-look deal his company Riverain Pictures has at HBO.

It’s based on John Lisle’s book Project Mind Control: Sidney Gottlieb, the CIA, and the Tragedy of MKULTRA.

It seems HBO is making it into a show right after the book came out. Could be good, could be more damage control. Hard to say.

Careful if you watch this one... by episode three you’ll swear you remember being part of MKUltra.

Thanks for the info and yes could well be 'damage control' - wonder if they're going to bring up all the Nazi Paperclip connections and how all the American stuff was just a continuation of the eugenic atrocities in Nazi Germany?
