It has vampires, omg, I feel like I've been living under a rock
werewolves too, thats so cool I had no idea skyrim could do any of this
Nolvus has a downloader that will help you through the process. It will download a mod controller program to control the mods and launch the game. Pretty sure you have to have the game in Steam, btw. Just checked, yes on Steam. Follow the directions here: Nolvus instal directions
follow directions exactly. I uninstall Skyrim, steam, delete everything between installs. Sometimes even reformat my hd to make sure. There might be a couple you have to install
Different mod collections do hundreds to thousands of mods. I don’t remember how many Nolvus does but it’s a lot.
like I said Skyrim is just basic rules, the mods become the game.
Nexus is the site for downloading mods. I HIGHLY suggest you pay for premium if you want to do these types of Skyrim mods. I did it once without premium and it took days to install!!!
so you will have
1. Steam - free
2. Skyrim on steam - not free
3. Nexus - free but buy the premium yearly subscription for auto downloading.
4. Nolvus - free
5. Mod organizer - free (downloaded by Nolvus during instal)
5. Mods (hundreds to thousands) free (downloaded by Nolvus during instal).
total cost ~60$ depending on steam price of Skyrim which varies.
Nolvus makes it relatively simple. Just follow the directions, in order, exactly.
Now I can describe /explain why Linux not working well. Linux runs Steam and Skyrim fine, but mod organizer and nexus just wouldn’t work right. I tried everything. So I just instal win 11 which will run those programs and use it until it breaks my computer when it updates after a month. Reformat my hd and start over.
