For now it is still a theory that Spacetime is infinite. Hard to prove beyond reasonable doubt at this time with how this universe really works. If there ever was a time where Spacetime did not exist, then how could anything happen to get to what we see today?
With all the matter, energy and other stuff that makes the world we know, we can trace it back to a start somewhere. With the things that do have a start, they also have an end. There is something in life looking for a better way. In such a complicated place it does have to try many things to find what practically does work.

it is like roll of sello tape and you pick at beginning and it splits and peel and you get half revolution and it is oops double layer and oh no that was real beginning there then you tear off and put in drawer til next time and it is that again and no one reaches cardboard ring in centre ever it just vanish in junk drawer like mystery
