You are a VERY creative soul. What you have inside is a mind blower. I have read your stories on ATS.
I just wanted to tell you that something you posted on ATS changed my thought process. You told someone to go out of their mind and write a story that is super creative. I will never forget. It was in 2016!
Thank you!
Art comes in odd waves. I had a dry spell for two years. One day it just came back!
I hear you! Art isn't on demand. The appreciation of beauty and the gamut of human emotions is on tap and makes an artist in training for their physical expression. I haven't created in a long time, but I feel it coming. It is going to be messy. If I want to avoid a conflict (and I do!) it will happen outside.
I am so glad I was able to once inspire you. Sometimes when we make ourselves go out of our comfort zone, we discover facets of our creativity that were previously hidden. It's part of why I sometimes write stories with a female protagonist. The other part is that I'm a bit of a freak, but a happy one.

Copy-pasta of an old joke, but a lesson in why practicing kindness is the best strategy:
There is an old story of a Zen monk moving from one village to another. On the way he passed a traveller, who said he was on the way to the village the monk had left and asked what the people were like there. “How were they in the village you left?” the monk asked. “Awful”, said the traveller. “They were drunkards and thieves, and you could not trust them an inch.” “You will find them just the same in the next village” replied the monk.
A little further on, he met another traveler who asked the same question. “How were they in the village you left?” the monk asked. “Marvellous”, said the second traveller. “They were so friendly and could not do enough to help you. I am really sorry to leave them behind.” “You will find them just the same in the next village” replied the monk.
The more you reach out in kindness, the more kindness (and incidentally good luck) comes back to you. Not every single time or every day, mind you, but habitually kind people often have others who "go the extra mile" for them. I have seen certain exceptions to this but they are rare.

Molotov cocktails. You're a real winner there y'know?

When it comes back to you, I can’t wait to see your creation. It’s going to be so messy and you will feel great.
I love when you write as you are female. It shows the super creative mind you have.
Be kind to everyone!

When I was younger and reading all sorts of occulty stuff, I decided I should learn how to meditate properly. I went along to my local Buddhist centre and began practicing the Metta Bhavana. I began to notice people somehow being nicer and kinder to me. Then it dawned on me that they were responding to the change in me.
