It's actually one of the safer anti-virus apps, AND ALSO one of the most dangerous anti-virus apps, at the exact same time...depending on who you are, and your perspective.
AND, the reasons why are even more shocking than anyone could possibly imagine! Nothing like you'd think.
All the "good guys" suddenly look like "bad guys", and all the "bad guys" suddenly look like they don't care about either side and are focused on something completely different...which triggers a whole cascade of 'other' good guys and bad guys (completely not related directly to the 1st good guys and bad guys, nor motivated by the same things as the 1st good guys and bad guys).
I'm not advocating for kaspersky (I don't use it, and won't use it), but the reasons why are not what most might imagine!!!!
Bottom line...there are ZERO virus companies who don't have a vested interest in something. The bigger question is "what"? Free virus scanners is the biggest ruse of the computer age. There's always a back door...always.
