It wouldn’t have made the news other than the fact that jihadi made a bomb, brought it to a “peaceful protest” and tried to use it.

It doesn't surprise me that they were duds.

The FBI doesn't usually sell working devices.

Usually the FBI strings along some goofus and supplies non working material and then swoops in and claims they stopped a terrorist attack. But... the FBI then began chasing ghosts under Obama and Biden and made white supremacists the go to danger and ignored everybody else. Or they had a major in house failure that resulted in the Boston Marathon bombing and had to throw agents out of helicopters and handcuffed witnesses had to be shot. 
     These two suspects just hated anyone speaking out against thei Mad Mullah Mayor. I guess the college campuses wouldn't let them protest there any more.
