I am wrong more than I would like. I would even go as far to say I am wrong more often than not.
But I am very confident that this whole debacle with Comey is a political grab and snatch.

I also did so I read his book. He talks a lot about the importance of keeping the FBI apolitical (that's now a thing of the past, unfortunately). He explains his decision by saying that no matter what decision he would have made then (to reopen the investigation publicly or privately) it would have been a political decision favoring one candidate so already he was in a place he would never want to be. If I recall correctly, he chose the option that favored Trump partly because he thought it wouldn't influence the election (along with everyone else he thought Hillary was a shoo-in) and that, should Hillary win, it would be better for this to have come out before the election than after. I think that's probably true, but then she didn't win. So it was the wrong decision but that's hindsight talking.

For that specific decision I don't blame him much. But in general, I think he should've handled the emails thing way differently. It got more attention than it deserved from pretty much everyone, including him.
