James Comey Indicited
Comey details his involvement in different cases.

Here's an odd one.
Marc Rich. Comey concedes that Clinton's pardon was highly unusual and suspicious, because it had not gone through the normal review process at the DOJ. The pardon had only been seen by then- Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder, who, without seeking input from prosecutors or agents who knew the case, cryptically told the White House he was "neutral, leaning positive."

Comey went with other law enforcement agents to arrest Marc Rich in Zurich but he wouldn't surrender because he didn't want to serve any time. They had no power under Swiss law to arrest him.

"Bill Clinton ended that fugitive hunt with a stroke of his pen. Now I was the United States Attorney General investigating whether that pen stroke had been bought."

Once again "We did not find sufficient cause to bring charges and closed the case."

There is a very clear pattern.

He's got no friends.

I'm sure Hillary still has him on her list.
If Epstein is any indicator, Comey may or may not be safer in prison.

Your inside info comes from where?

You continue to make accusations with no realistic backup.

Lol   Get real.   He leaked info to news sources to further his left wing cause.   He let Hillary off while at the same time admitting that she broke the law.   His own left wing people testified against him.   None of this is disputed.  YOU continue to try to carry water for the left, but with Comey it doesn't work.  The left hate him too.   Lol

But they will still be on record for future history to see.

What will Trump's legacy be?

Daily Caller

Quote:Brawner then read from the AP’s previous reporting. Comey had “violated FBI policies in his handling of memos documenting private conversations with President Trump.”

“The watchdog office said Comey broke bureau rules by giving one memo containing unclassified information to a friend with instructions to share the content with a reporter,'” Brawner said, reading the AP report. “‘Comey also failed to return his memos to the FBI after he was dismissed in May of 2017, retaining copies of some of them in his safe at home and shared them with his personal lawyers without permission from the FBI.'”

“Goes on to say ‘The report is the second in as many years to criticize Comey’s actions as FBI director, following a separate inspector general rebuke for decisions made during the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server,'” she continued. “‘It is one of multiple inspector general investigations undertaken in the last three years into the decisions and actions of Comey and other senior FBI leaders.’

Moreover, a CIA memo published in July showed that Comey and former CIA Director John Brennan might have given false testimony when they claimed under oath that the infamous Steele Dossier played no role in their 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA).

Plus at the link is a timeline and information they obtained.

Quote:“Justice and accountability have finally moved forward tonight with the indictment of James Comey on charges of making a false statement and obstruction of justice. Comey (in conspiracy with Hillary and Obama, helped launch smear campaigns and spy operations against the innocent Donald J. Trump) has been protected for far too long by a corrupt Justice Department and FBI. Comey’s crimes are legion, but this indictment is one small step toward holding accountable those who engaged in the worst political abuse in the history of the country.
More justice must come.”

Comey and the fake Steele Dossier being used as an excuse to get a warrant to spy on Trumps campaign.  Hillary disinfo that he's up to his eyeballs using officially.

Al Jazeera - Why James Comey has been indicted

Quote:The Republican-led Senate Judiciary Committee was reviewing mistakes the FBI made at the start of the Russia investigation.

Senators asked Comey about the FBI’s use of a dossier that made unverified claims about Trump’s ties to Moscow. The dossier, which has since been largely discredited, was used to obtain a warrant to secretly watch a former Trump campaign adviser.

Comey agreed that the errors in the warrant were serious. But he defended the overall investigation as having been “in the main, conducted in the right way”.
Page 70 deals with the disclosure of the identity of a covert intelligence agent. The law prohibiting this required "specific and evil intent."

Exactly how are they going to prove this?
We can line this up with What was she thinking?

"it was not enough to show that the people who disclosed the agent's identity were stupid or careless. We had to prove that these men [knew] the CIA agent was undercover and that they knew that revealing the name was against the law."

"It was unlikely that we could prove that beyond a reasonable doubt, that Armitage or Rove had acted with the required criminal intent in speaking with Novak and other reporters."

"That put the DOJ in a tough spot." Really?

This whole case is weird.
"I knew it would be very difficult, if there was insufficient evidence , for a department led by John Ashcroft to credibly close an investigation against his colleagues in the same administration without recommending charges.
Complicating matters was that Karl Rove had managed one of John Ashcroft's political campaigns."

"Scooter Libby, whose conduct still needed to be sorted out, was a senior White House official with whom Ashcroft and senior DOJ officials interacted frequently."

Sooo what was Comey going to do? He had a friendly chat with Ashcroft and told him to recuse himself and then Comey put in his place Patrick Fitzgerald, " a close personal friend of mine."
"I went one step further: because I was also a political appointee of President Bush, I delegated to Fitzgerald all my powers as acting attorney general. ...he didn't need to ask me my permission to take any steps in the case..."

Comey had assured him it would just be 5-6 month assignment which turned into 4 years of non stop attacks.

Circling back "just who in government had spoken with the press about the CIA employee and...WHAT WERE THEY THINKING."

Scooter Libby was close to VP Dick Cheney, who had lied about his interaction with Tim Russert, claiming he had heard the covert agent's name from him, but 8 Bush administration officials testified that they had talked to Libby about the covert agent's name. More evidence revealed that Libby had proactively discussed the CIA employee with reporters, at the VP's request,..."

Libby was convicted of making false statements, perjury, and obstruction of justice.

What about the intentional leaking? This was going nowhere because they would have to prove he knew it was illegal.

Even Comey notes that there were convenient exceptions to laws and he never addressed this?
