I don't know about where you are, but here in Kentucky it's a little warm.
And by "a little warm" I mean it's 111 degrees and it's not quite the hottest part of the day yet. Why am I telling you this ? Because it's too damn hot to go outside, so I thought I'd write a thread about it being too damn hot to go outside. I know there are folks who work in these conditions all the time, but they're getting paid for it.
I'm not, so I'm not going out there.
I'm gonna sit here, eat popsicles and complain.
All joking aside, if you have to be out in this, stay hydrated and take frequent breaks in the shade if you can. If you have outside pets, bring them inside. We have about a dozen stray cats that hang around and we make sure there's fresh water for them. I wish I could do more, but they're outside cats and there's no way to get them inside. I leave the garage door up about a foot and they come in and lay on the cool concrete, so at least there's that.
Heat like this is no joke. It can and will kill you.
