With all due respect back, it seems to me that's somewhat of a false equivalency.
Conscription inside Ukraine and Russia is legal under their very own laws.
Even if sometimes poorly enforced.
By contrast, Russia's forced conscription of Ukrainians in occupied territories is illegal under international law and documented by "Human Rights Watch" and others as "systematic coercion of civilians."
It is indeed shitty all the way around, but pointing to normal national conscription does not negate the evidence about Russia's actions.
And at the end of the day, Ukraine is fighting for their very survival as a sovereign nation.
Russia is the one who is in the wrong postcode.
