An ATR-42 operated by Indonesia Air Transport for the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries has gone missing. There were eleven people reported on board at the time. The aircraft, PK-THT was flying low over the water when the signal dropped from trackers. It appears they flew into a mountainous region with poor visibility and may have flown into a mountain. There’s a possible debris field seen on the side of one of the mountains but they haven’t gotten to it yet.

An ATR 42-500, registration PK-THT, owned by the Indonesian Directorate General of Marine and Fisheries Resources Surveillance (PSDKP) and operated by Indonesia Air Transport (IAT), went missing this Saturday, January 17.
The aircraft, reconfigured in April 2025 for Airborne Surveillance missions, lost contact with air traffic control while flying the Yogyakarta - Makassar route.
The flight was carrying 11 people: eight crew members and three passengers. While initial reports linked the aircraft to a health ministry mission, technical data confirms it belongs to the government's maritime surveillance fleet. The last radar contact occurred at 13:17 local time over the rugged Maros District in South Sulawesi.
So, eight crew members to look for fish? Airborne surveillance missions? Were they providing INTEL for Iran as it still remains that US troops are evacuation bases near Iran?
Me thinks they were. I am NOT a fly boy but provided INTEL to UNCLE via the "Watcher" program. I also think that ET has Trumps back.

Intel for Iran from Indonesia? Seriously?
It’s not just “looking for fish”. They’re monitoring fishing boats, checking for outside boats being in waters they aren’t supposed to be in, etc. So yes, eight crew to operate sensors and swap out positions on board.

Hey, one never knows as Iran may pay well. Now, to search for drug trafficking I would agree. I also still have this on my mind.
The Hunt for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370
So NO ONE knows? BULL SHEEP. Drug Cartels have huge piles of cash. Surface to Air Missile? Hesbellah?

Recall this from 2014?
(2014) The crash of Indonesia AirAsia flight 8501 - An Airbus A320 stalls and plunges 38,000 feet, killing 162 people, after the pilots lose control during a botched attempt to reset a computer. Analysis inside.
How about them 911 boys who flew the big ones into buildings. They can fly but these trained pilots messup. Much weird in that part of the world relating to plane crashes. It is my opinion that these planes are having their computers hacked by satellite remote. Back in 2019 General Motors did same on my brand new 2019 Colorado. They locked all doors on the truck while they updated the software. They have the ability via GPS to take control of the vehicle. We also have drugs dealers where I live and they use WIFI blasters. They can disable WIFI. So lets go military grade in the case of these planes?

Please note I am NOT trying to thread drift by introducing other incidents and crashes. I am trying to draw a possible connection to others odd crashes in that part of the world. That IMO is how these can be solved. Assumming that those in the know want them to be solved?
I am trying to keep an open mind and solve as to whats really going on here. What I wrote in my other response is factual, and was actually experienced by me. Many days my wife's or my vehicle which are parked in a locked garage somehow has the doors locked. We dont lock our doors. We didnt butt dial or lock them. The Key Fobs are kept in an open bowl.
So someone else is locking the vehicles.

And exactly what useful intel is Iran getting that would directly affect them?
Surface to Air missiles in the middle of the ocean? You give the cartels a lot of credit.
Well, let’s take a look at your last premise here. On the one hand, you have a group of people flying straight and level that don’t care what happens to the plane, and exceed Vne on approach to the target. On the other hand, you have two trained pilots that care a great deal about what happens to that aircraft, working a checklist that had something go wrong while working said checklist and crashed.
But wait, pilots never make mistakes.

Well, since you wont go there I wont either as in whats the point.
I personally know over five airline pilots who were all intebnational Captains who flew the big boys out of Atlanta. They were my next door neighbors.
Three retired and could not wait to retire as I heard their stories.

Pilots are human. Humans make mistakes. Airlines are corporations. Corporations cut corners. Both of those lead to accidents.

Reports now that the aircraft was 12 miles from the airport, and were off course. The controller was attempting to get them back on course when contact was lost. People on the ground reported a loud explosion, and debris was found on the side of the mountain.
