I found an article...

about the publication of "A new field guide from the venture philanthropy firm the American Journalism Project"...

Following the source-chain....

The American Journalism Project’s new “field guide” vets AI vendors for local newsrooms

By now... I'm wondering about this "Field Guide..." 

From it's name it appears to posture as a needed resource to pursue <ahem> journalism.

But that "source" was about a collection of "AI" vendors providing "press release" to prospective clients.

.... sigh.... no, Virginia, "journalist" aren't talking about "journalism"...
only how to do it without ever leaving their desk.

If the "industrial press" is going to use make-believe "AI" (LLM's,) as 'research sources'... we will suffer.

Yep. To paraphrase the  words of KRS-ONE:

"Its not about skills, its about marketing and promotion..."

I was studying a media degree in the aftermath of 9/11 and it broke me, thre was no longer "news" just, well you saw it too.

Marketing is propaganda for the middle class.
