He doesn’t try to hide the fact that his views dont always line up perfectly with church teachings.

Instead, he seems to believe faith and personal choice can both matter.

And that's part of what makes him interesting.

He’s not afraid to live in the gray areas.

As to the marketplace having spoken, not necessarily.

TV shows end for many reasons, including budgets, shifting viewer habits, and not just quality.

Firefly and Enterprise spring to mind, but that's just because I like sci-fi.

A good product can still get canceled if the business model changes or the format becomes outdated.

And that's what's happening with digital viewer migration to other media formats.

You can try and polish that turd anyway you wish.

I really enjoyed Firefly as well but it was also a victim of not enough watchers.
I think it could have been on par with battlestar galactica and the expanse had it gotten more seasons.

Colbert is still one of my favorites through, up there with Kimmel, Fallon, and Oliver.
