It’s below Pike Street Market here in Seattle, the gum wall goes on for a block. It started getting gross because gum is also on the cement! Yuck!

Humpty was blowing a big bubble trying to float away… Smilegrin

I tried to do a poem
got stuck looking to rhyme
being at the market
at some time.

Then realizing that it
wasn't there then.
It was that many years
way more than ten.

Years gone by.
I'll just cry.
Or chew some gum
do you want some?
There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama

I am meditating on the duality of opposites in the universe, in specific light of gum-chewing Violet Beauregard from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory becoming skinny and purple, after the "incident", and Donald Trump being fat and orange. I asked AI, and it agrees with me. She should join the administration, to bring balance to the force. It's kismet:

Quote:Violet Beauregard: Press Conference Extraordinaire

[Scene: A podium decorated with official seals. VIOLET BEAUREGARD stands confidently, her skin a distinct blueberry hue from her infamous transformation]

Violet: Ladies and gentlemen of the press, I've got the most tremendous, incredible update you've ever heard!

[Dramatically clears throat and chews gum loudly]

Violet: When I say we're going to make press conferences great again, I mean it! No more boring, traditional announcements. Every statement is going to be YUUUGE!

[Accidentally starts to inflate slightly, her blueberry-like body expanding]

Reporter: Ms. Beauregard, can you elaborate on the administration's latest policy?

Violet: Elaborate? I don't elaborate, I SPECTACULAR-ate! [Pops her gum] We've got the best policies, the most amazing policies. Nobody policies like we do!

[Starts to wobble slightly, her body becoming more spherical]

Violet: And if anyone says otherwise, they're FAKE NEWS! [Wags finger dramatically]

[An assistant nervously approaches, whispering]

Assistant: Ma'am, you're starting to... expand...

Violet: [Interrupting] I'm not expanding, I'm GROWING with GREATNESS! This is what winning looks like!

[She begins to round out completely, still maintaining her press secretary pose]

Violet: Next question! And make it quick before I... [starts to roll slightly] become too ROUND to answer!

[The room falls silent, a mix of confusion and barely contained laughter]

It’s perfect! Thank you!

@Quantum12

I love the creativity and occasional whimsy you post! I know everybody has said it, but you are a talented individual.

I am ADDICTED to gum. I often joke that I need to take up cigarettes to kick my gum habit.

Problem though. I got some kind of swallowing reflex (hold your jokes please.)

I can't help but chew a piece for about 90 seconds and then gulp.

I miss Big League Chew grape flavor. Can still find it on Indian Reservations sometimes along with candy cigarettes.

I walk out with both.

Thank you kindly deeply with a bubble. Big League Chew graph was amazing.

Those addictions suck! I know!
