Grey Flag 2025

While other commitments meant I whiffed on Zaphod's trip back to the TTR I was able to make my 3rd trek down to NAS Pt. Mugu and spend 2 days shooting Grey Flag 2025. In brief Grey Flag is a USN led aerial exercise. It typically features all the test squadrons (VX-9, VX-23, and VX-31, HMX-1 and VX-30 will make an appearance. This year the F-117 was back and it made a lone appearance It also features ATAC's aggressors and in addition to the USAF it also had the RCAF and the RAAF in attendance.  It has bursts of activity and its not uncommon to have 30+ aircraft returning from the range in waves. I spent 2 days in total there.

Oh man, I live fairly close to Cold Lake Alberta where we have a large amount of CF-18s, and I get to see them dogfighting and such regularly.

 It’s an awesome thing to just walk down to the beach, lay down and watch them cruising around!!!
