The idea that Greenland must choose a single "big brother" ignores the boring reality that it's a self-governing territory within the Kingdom of Denmark.
Yeah .. it's the skinny little guy in the prison yard.
It has no bite behind it's bark.
Their treaties and such with other small countries doesn't mean much.
Someone is going to walk in and take what they want.
They'd be better off hooking up with America than China or Russia.
At least they get something out of it that way.

It may be a self-governing territory within Denmark, but the people of Greenland
don't want to be part of Denmark.  They want independence.   They don't want
ANYONE ruling over them ... Denmark or America or China or Russia etc etc.   The
only problem with that is that they can't take care of themselves.    That's why I say
it would be good for them to hook up with America.   It's better than Russia or China
walking in and taking over.   The way the world is, SOMEONE is going to do it, so
pick your poison .... USA or China or Russia.

Trumps bloviating of military action to take it over is wrong.   Greenland hooking up
with America has to be something that they want.   (and if they are smart they'll
want it otherwise Russia or China will over run them).   Right now, they don't want
anyone ... but they should rethink that.

Roll up with a truck load of cash and gold and tell them we want to be their exclusive customer. In the long run it's cheaper and everybody's happy. They make shit tons of money, we get rare minerals, everybody has a nice plate of Momma's ragu and fugetaboutit

This prison yard cinematic universe logic is boll@cks Flyers.

I think you may have been watching too many Wentworth Miller reruns.

Again, Greenland isn't "undefended" it's covered by Denmark and NATO, aka the US, and already taken care of.

You're calling it yourself with "the people of Greenland don't want to be part of Denmark. They want independence."

That's a simple referendum.

But it's not Trump or the USA place to initiate or suggest.

It's all just misdirection to take the spotlight away form Epstien debackle.

Which is the real poison pill in my book.

Nah ... the prison yard description fits perfectly in my opinion.
But you are free to disagree, of course.

And while I agree with you on Epstein being a big thing and that
Trump is up to his eyeballs in it somehow, not everything goes back
to Epstein.   So I disagree that Greenland is a distraction or something
from Epstein.   It is it's own story and own 'situation'.

Greenland is also free to disagree, so...

I dont know what you folk think but Im of the opinion that queen Mary dresses better that Middleton... but Kate is catching up. Kate's 2024 Trooping the Color outfit was assembled for a fair lady.

Trump sld have sent Ivanka to a finishing school to learn deportment, not take her to Epstine Island.

Same with Bill and Chelsea.
I was not here.

Sure.   I already said that they don't want anyone, including Denmark.
I'm just saying it would be a good thing for them to hook up with the USA.
Smart move ... security wise.

Never seen "Prison Break?"

Not half bad 5 seasons of show if im honest.

Gets a bit convoluted and drawn out after the first three.

But all in all, not a half-bad show.

Anyhoo i digress.

Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders, and they don't want to belong to anyone.

Something most Americans should be able to identify with, imho.

Security-wise, i don't think they want to become a target.

They don't wish to be part of some kind of future American empire.

Freedom is their goal.

Just like the colonies 250 years ago.
