Here's the actual title to this article.
"Gold Star Distribution Inc., Issues Recall of Certain FDA-Regulated Products in Three States Including Drugs, Devices, Cosmetics, Human Foods, and Pet Foods"

This is some serious shit here people, not only are these unsanitary people handling our food and drugs and pet food but they are doing this all over the state and who else knows where.

                                                         Here's the article.. good luck!

Company AnnouncementMINNEAPOLIS – December 26, 2025 —Gold Star Distribution, Inc. (Gold Star or “the Company”) is recalling all FDA regulated products listed in this press release due to the presence of rodent and avian contamination.

Persons handling or consuming the products could become seriously ill due to adulteration from pests, including rodents, birds and insects. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) determined that the facility was operating under insanitary conditions, including the presence of rodent excreta, rodent urine, and bird droppings in areas where medical devices, drugs, human food, pet food, and cosmetic products were held. These conditions create a significant risk that products held at the facility may have been contaminated with filth and harmful microorganisms.

Products held under insanitary conditions may become contaminated through contact with contamin
ated surfaces or exposure to airborne particulates associated with animal waste. Exposure to contaminated products can pose serious health risks to consumers, including the potential for bacterial contamination, which may result in illness or infection, including Salmonella. There are numerous hazards associated with rodents including the potential presence of Salmonella. Use or consumption of affected products may present risk of illness due to the potential presence of Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in infants, young children, frail or elderly people, pregnant persons, persons with pre-existent pathology (e.g., patients with cancer undergoing chemotherapy treatments, organ transplant recipient, etc.) and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.

Additionally, products contaminated with filth, rodent excreta, and rodent urine may cause illness in the animals that consume the food or humans that are in contact with the products. Rodents are the main reservoirs of Leptospira the bacteria that causes leptospirosis in humans and animals.
Contaminated medical devices may increase the risk of device-associated infections, drugs and foods may cause adverse health effects if ingested, and cosmetics applied to the skin or eyes may lead to skin irritation, infection, or other adverse reaction

Isn't Abu-Samrah a Qatari name?

I'm sorry, I don't see what this has to do with Somalia.

Could you be clearer? Thanks in advance.

Last night, some renagade deer came and peed in the snow and pooped in the snow where I throw potatoes, carrots, apples, and toasted homemade organic bread to the deer in the yard right off the deck.  That is unsanitary, I had to go and shovel it away today because I had to throw the food into the snowbank and they could not find it easily.

I think it is stripe and his/her friend that peed there to mark their territory.  Stripe eats out of my hand at the patio door, the only one who does not eat off the snow.  It is called stripe because on it's chest it has a little white stripe of white hair that looks like a piece of fuzzy white tape going down it's front.

But I have not seen stripe actually pee there, but saw stripe pooped ten feet from the deck.....all the rest of the deer usually go out to the woods to poop.  I understand that Stripe's friend was pooping in the latrine area in the woods twenty feet away by a pine tree, and when you got to go you got to go.  But stripe could have gone farther away from the deck.

I not only feel like a chef and waiter, now I have to be the bus boy and go clean the crap off their table.  The does usually teach the young to not poop at the dinner table, but Stripe must not have been taught...stripe has been coming in alone since she/he was probably five months old, I do not know what happened to his mother....she disappeared at the beginning of bow season so I fear she is at the dining table with some hunter.  I am going to have to put signs out now to inform the deer that there is no pooping or peeing in the main restaurant area.

Ok, not totally off topic, this article talks about rodent poop...  I can't blame Stripe since his mother is out for dinner somewhere  with a hunter I suppose.

Well i could have been more specific i geuss. I have a friend who actually lives a couple of blocks away and he said that only Somalians work there and  and they have very low standards compared to Americans. The place is filthy and smells bad too. he goes by there a lot on his bike and it's a smelly place.
While that doesn't mean much to some of you, some of us have been following the news and it aint pretty. They actually don't care about us and think of us as their cash cow. I should just delete this thread because I shouldn't have to explain any of this.

It's the owner's responsibility to keep things according to the rules and laws, regardless of having immigrants or American citizens as employees.

Bad employees? Just get new ones, I'm sure there are lots of people that could do that job.

One thing I found when looking for more information about the owner is that he was first informed about the situation on October 19, 2018, so he had seven years to correct the problems, and, although he did a few things, he didn't follow all the prescribed measures.

He does seem to be destroying those products that are damaged and/or soiled and they started doing corrections, but those corrections will be investigated over and over until they get it right. How difficult is it to keep out rats?

(From your source:)

"We acknowledge your firm’s voluntary destruction of the (b)(4) pallets embargoed by MDA as well as your voluntary destruction of several other pallets of potentially adulterated products as a corrective action to FDA’s observations of apparent rodent activity. We also acknowledge receipt of your correspondence dated July 19, 2018, entitled “Corrective Action Plan,” which outlined the corrective actions to which you committed, including: contract with a pest control service, repair the roof, hire a janitor, clean up pest harborage sites, keep dock doors closed, properly store chemicals, conduct monthly employee training, conduct internal audits, correct violative conditions, and keep records for roofing, sanitation, employee training, and pest control. However, your “Corrective Action Plan” failed to provide any documentation of the corrections  (e.g., work orders, pictures, records, and training documents) or any timelines of when corrections would be made. FDA will evaluate the adequacy of your promised corrective actions during our next inspection of your facility."

It shouldn't be difficult, probably a few repairs of the building(s) would be enough.

Do these types of infrastructure issues speak to how people and businesses are unable to afford these types of fixes, or have to do it piecemeal?

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean, could you please rephrase it?

Thanks in advance.
