As to Trump's effect on the world stage, not my President, not my circus, not a lot I can do about it.
No point getting angry over something out of ones control, complete and utter waste of energy.

Agree completely.   The older I get, the more I recognize that I can make small changes, small differences on a local level, but I'm not going to expend my increasingly limited energies on global things that I can't affect.   Yes, I see the horror that humanity perpetrates upon itself.   If everyone would just elected to appoint me Global King, I could surely fix a lot of overdue shit.

What I notice where I live is that we all used to be able to talk, to discuss things, both local and abroad, and we would learn things from each other.  Maybe disagree, but not get pissed off at each other.  Everything here is very polarized, and I find I don't care to talk with people any more for the most part.   Where I live, the system is broken, just like the U.S.  I think it will take a great renaissance in the U.S. to improve things, and set the course for the world.   It could also happen in Europe, however I think the European nations might be overall too left-leaning to achieve true unity.  It seems like a dismal concept.

On- topic, what am I angry about?  I'm angry that our governmental systems are no longer truly representative.   Money rules.   Those without money are cannon fodder.   In the U.S., neither the Democrats or the Republicans have a fix.   I have an opinion that one of them is more oriented to the people.   If everyone would collectively appoint me Global King, I would do away with the party system.   I think parties suck, because they support the divide between them.   Only when people without a party (monetary) affiliation are forced to work together will we evolve.   IMVHO.

It was a big mistake that the Danish government trusted the US government blindly. You should never trust anybody or anything blindly.
