Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Speaks Behind Bullet Proof Barrier!
#81
Are we talking land area or what?

Its about equal in 2026.  Really there are 7 million more democrats on that map, but all between 38 and 45 million is about equal.
  • Democrats: ~45 million
  • Republicans: ~38 million
  • Independents/Other: ~39 million
And it kinda depends who i support.  I'm picking my governor by whether or not they support Silcon Valley staying, oppose the millionaires tax, and are not named Steve Hilton..

It's not Red State and Blue State. Its Urban and Rural almost exclusively. Almost all major cities lean democrat, and looking at the above map I haven't been able to find a lot of major cities that don't, and they are almost all in Arizona, Oklahoma, Florida, Texas, and California when I find them.

All the blue specks account for over 90% of major US cities.

The things I support fly rather selectively through mostly metropolitan areas of many states.

I redid your map
I can label the major U.S. cities in it too if you like

I have no idea i didnt analyze your map I just had AI use current data from the election and turn your map into a cartogram that political scientists use that focuses on populations because land doesnt vote. Its written in the map if you zoom in

I just wanted you to have a nicer map lol i have no idea if it helps any point you were trying to make Biggrin

Your post was useful to make that list for my post.

To keep it on topic. It's a list of cities where AOC is most likely to be hated. To the greater point, the USA is divided by higher densities of left surrounded by rural America on the right, that thinks the higher densities of left is evil..

Simpsons explained it 35 years ago....

Never went past The Finger Lakes, maybe Lake George once, but mostly West of that towards Buffalo, and never really south. Mostly the thruway in the lovely western rust belt cities.  Day trips occasionally.  But I remember Seabreeze most.

So I've seen the Mormons, Amish, and Mennonites.
