The realities of man flu

Day 4 The Scourge of Man Flu

I ventured out today for supplies for my family.  Just some flour, salt, and bacon fat.

It'll keep us alive and fed until the storm of disease has passed.

I know I am a hero, but I wish no parades or rewards for what I do through my suffering.

I will keep fighting, because that's what real men do.

Here's hoping you get better by Thanksgiving, 5 more days.

In the meantime, here's a funny:

There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama

The scourge is over.

I have, once again, beaten Man Flu.

My destiny is set in the Halls of Valhalla.

I returned to work today while vestal virgins showered my path with rose petals to harken my return.

Angels wept at my return.

Nations trembled at my might.

. . .  . . . I still have a sore throat though and the sniffles.  But these are mere remnants of the deadly disease that dared to assault me.

Thus ends my latest battle.

Amen.
