And I know the Scientology stuff too, but it's not like Im writing him monthly checks. I watched some of his movies, but it's not like I watch them over and over

I forgot all about Rain Man and Risky Business...

The subject matter on American Made fits right in, though, the drugs, the guns, and Arkansas were hugely infiltrated with American government workers. One phone call to the governor of Arkansas, and the dead-to-rights guilty guy walked

I should check that one out!

You're a habitual line-toer , SMH too.

Also thanks for spoiling the film, nice.

I've seen worse and I would bet you have too. Sometimes the boss has to get angry and reinforce the structure of order and discipline in his crew.

as for being habitually offensive, I appreciate the kind words.

As to the movie itself, it's very on brand, if you're a fan you will love it, it's not something I would buy for my library, maybe I'll see it again someday at a friend's house while it's on HBO Max or something and it's just background noise. Or I'll see it it in 16 parts on someone's YouTube shorts. That's always fun.

You don't understand my euphemism.
Toing the line means lining up and being accounted for, to be under the control of the Authority.
As far as your posts make one believe, you habitually do whatever the mainstream control dictates is , while pretending it is logical or progressive.

I am not a huge MI fan, but I was playing around with the idea of wasting money on some kind of boxset.  I like Bond better though.

It's worth a watch, they took some liberties, but the guy was real enough

American Made (2017) is based on a true story, though it takes some creative liberties. The film follows Barry Seal, a former TWA pilot who became a drug smuggler for the Medellín Cartel and later an informant for the DEA. Many events in the movie, like Seal’s work with the CIA and his involvement in the Iran-Contra affair, are grounded in real history, but details are exaggerated or fictionalized for dramatic effect. For instance, the extent of Seal’s relationship with figures like Pablo Escobar is dramatized, and some timelines are condensed.

Tom paid 4 million for his P-51... A very expensive aircraft to operate these days as are most things aviation... He does most if not all the stunts in his movies.. IE no stunt doubles in most cases.

On set if he is an ass since he owns the production and people are not carrying their load then getting chewed out is better than being fired for some of them. HE HAS BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL WHICH ALWAYS BRINGS OUT THE HATERS.

I am surprised the Feds did not go after him for some of the low level flying unless he actually has a low level wavier/permit.
