Say huh? Sign like divine intervention? I'll assume you mean that.

It's a Bible parable, so here's the associated scripture!!!

Proverbs 16:33 - The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD."

Which in context of THIS story means: "God may yet decide the timing of when the dam finally breaks open, even if it can only be proven random. And the father was ALWAYS going to pray for a miracle..."

But as far as immigrants go..

I'll work migrants into the sequel i am about to post. That takes place many years later from the fish perspective.

Spanish is my second language, and my using it has nothing to do with some secret message encouraging people to break immigration law.

It is a language of heart, beauty, and soul... I happen to like it very much.

Odd that words of faith and the human condition would elicit such a response...

More realistically, perhaps this speaks to why we should stick to English...

I was not replying to your post specifically.  I translated it and found it irrelevant.

A miracle is often a sign.  The OP seemed to be uninterested in its implications.

Perhaps had the people had more faith in providence, they would not feel compelled to flee their own country.

Fish and their eggs can be lifted into the atmosphere by strong storms, specifically waterspouts or tornadoes, which suck up water and marine life. These creatures can then be carried and dropped inland, creating the phenomenon. I remember reading about it a long time ago because im weird

Happens with frogs too I believe

From Matthew Ch. 6:

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.  Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.  If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?  So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Isn't his Kingdom not requiring sustenance for morals to continue to exist?

Do you think people who want to play it honest are denying that they need sustenance?

Can it be resorting to crime because you think it will round out your bottom line can have drawbacks such as turning the place you live into a place you want to flee?
