Humanity is an experiment.

Maybe millennia?

But I’ve heard that as the 7th iteration, when they try to edit out emotion, reality dissolves.

So stilettos in hands and on the feets it is folks.

Eh. Debatable.

Seems those with a touch of psychopathy and a penchant for greed rule the day.

Through violence of course. Lol

The truth is
most humans will stay in this system
It's ingrained and they're hardwired to it
choosing to stay is easier than getting out

Breaking from the herd is a solo choice
The work is done in isolation

I suppose that depends on how one defines failure.

But consider what we have achieved in the past 1000 years alone.

And the fact that there are around 8.3 billion people on the planet.

We breed, adapt, and overcome, and we are only getting better at doing those things...

Can you name a better system than a Republic with Democratic institute of voting and a free market capitalist system?

Yes.
Collectivism vs rugged individualism.
There’s a good reason why its rugged.

The real problem is the way those systems are run.

On paper, they work fine and dandy.

They appear to be rather noble and profound.

But when we introduce corrupt people into the equations....

Humanity has the talent and imagination to be a spacefaring civilization, but we keep holding ourselves back.

We fight, we divide, we forget that we are one family on a tiny planet.

If we chose understanding over conflict, if we remembered we are sisters and brothers, our energy could go into building a better future.

We could already be reaching for the stars.

We still can, if we choose unity.  Wink2

True.  Unfortunately there are corrupt people in all systems.

People who push 'the warmth of collectivism' fail to acknowledge
that in Communism and Socialism, the people at the top of the
heap are corrupt just like anyone else.   They think getting out of
Capitalism would somehow make corruption go away.   It doesn't.

Not only the corrupt.
The incompetent.
