Your quote reminds me of this song

"We're all a few steps away from madness" is something I've said a few times. The thing is though, nothings original. Anything I've ever said or done has seen the light of day before.

Maybe nobody has said this one: In my mind, every day is a renaissance.

I have never heard that song before, but it isn't bad - so thank you for sharing.  Grin

However, I don't understand why anybody want to be famous because you lose your freedom when you are famous so it must be a true nightmare!

Oh, and one more thing - everything is original if you have felt what you write!

We can of course discuss the fact that many people also have green eyes - but our eye color is as unique as our fingerprint.

It is the same with thoughts - they are also unique, but they can look similar when you only study them in a superficial way.

We can get inspired by each other, but If people copy other people's thoughts then it's another story of course.
Evil Will Never Win.

People are good.....till they can be bad and get away with it.

A person who flows like a River can never drown.

The truth may set you free, but knowing what you do with it is Wisdom.

People who won't shut up and give it a rest are like a Nun's Knickers. They go on and on and on...

Never complain head on. Use slingshots and orbits to save energy, reduce friction and get home safely.

Spin

Wisdom knocks quietly, always listen carefully.... and be a River flowing calmly.

"... it's funny... I'm uncomfortable with being quoted... it's like... responsibility."

I may have heard this elsewhere... but it seems if not, it's quote worthy...

"Waiting hurts my soul."

But Edgar Allen Poe said it perfectly.
And you can't mess with perfection.   Grin

So far the men has become aroused and the woman are angry

''I  speak by no authority save one of myriad ways by which existence perceives itself. ''

I wrote this years ago as a baseline existential stance amid a sea of consciousness nodes that either chose or, in my observations, fall to over indulgence self congratulation

Another, written decades ago goes. '' Human beings have, as a species,  if nothing else, demonstrated a constant witness to blind gullibility.''

In the fifty years since having written this I have found  nothing to challenge it's veracity.

Posts like this make me wish we had stars...

I suppose it has always been in bad taste to simply post "I agree" or "I'm on your side" alone.

I find it well said...  [Image: applause.gif]

Yeah, funny  cuz this just jumped out to me, the bit about responsibility.  I get  it. That one phrase seems to be like a hub on a multi spoked philosophical/psychological wheel.

I find famous quotes to be of a dubious character. This famous guy said ''this'' and people, maybe the gullible people I referred to earlier, hear it and go,''oh, wisdom'' cuz this guy was famous for being smart. When in reality he may have been but also maybe not really wise. And I think that that is a trap of quotes, suspecting that there is wisdom in ancient quotes from dead people merely because the words have managed to slide on down to us though history. I"m leery of quotes. Some times I have read quotes from this cat or that cat and gone, ''Oh man, what a wise cat, only to later read other quotes from them and think, what a schmo.
