Trump, Vance and Kennedy! Endorsed by the likes of Musk, Gabbard and Rogan!

It might be a wiser more effective Trump this time round.

He admits he was a little naive in his first term.

I'm not sure that I can stop being cynical.  Just bear in mind I don't mean to trigger or spread vitriol.
I've been deeply saddened to see my country and country people used instead of protected.

Next headline: GOP retains control of house.

2024 Election: Final Analysis.

Voting breakdown:

Also worth noting she underperformed both Democrat predecessors with overall women voters. Her massive gains in college educated white women were offset by married and Latina voters.

End result, define "landslide" and "red tsunami."

Trump: 312 - 226 + popular vote (blue wall destroyed)
Senate: up to 5 flipped seats
House: likely retained

GOP have everything they need now. So I'm really happy that all the Project 2025 fear is said to be vastly overstated by left leaning media to scare people away from voting GOP.

The abortion initiative votes were especially telling. 7/10 passed, and 8/10 received a majority. This shows an adaptation the states rights as preference. Abortion was 4th and 5th of the importance list. Like the Latinos, pro-choice voters saw the threat of a GOP administration as something to fear as false.

It's a very independent-minded outcome that overwhelmingly favored republican candidates this time. But very free and fair. Not my decision, but...

I think all that fear a coming 4th Reich should try to adopt a clean slate approach for his 2nd term and give him the benefit of the doubt for at least as long as McConnell gave Biden one. (So... Early February 2021)

I will pray (unless it is unwelcome) for your situation (and those of your friends) to improve... regardless, you all have my well-wishes.

None of us deserve systemically imposed misery... especially when the 'system' is a function of political gamesmanship engendered for "superficial effect" rather than for an actual solution.

I'm not religious (vaguely pagan) but I do welcome and appreciate kind thoughts... even prayers.  And if you have a need that might be helped by information, I'm always available for research in scientific literature.... and glad to help.

I don't much care for the MAGA...uhm... regard for my young transgender grandson.  Or my hoping-to-be-married lesbian niece.  Or gay friends.  Or some of the homeless people I've met.  And my non-White friends are worried, particularly immigrants.

I know and like Republicans (I have some I dislike, of course) and I think the world of my co-judge at the election.  But their policies are sweeping us back to the days when I couldn't have a bank account and when people wouldn't hire me (science field) because of my gender.

And Musk's "brace for hardships" statement (https://www.nbcnews.com/business/economy...rcna177807) ... a billionaire doesn't feel the monthly bite of $3,000 in medicine (after insurance and discounts.)

It's a lot of little things, too... DeSantis getting rid of "liberal" professors (I was an adjunct professor) sounds a lot like a minor version of Chairman Mao's purge of intellectuals and others.  Tariffs are a bad idea (see Musk's statement above.)

I am simply discouraged at the moment.  I know we'll all survive.

Why does this remind me of a community coming together after a hurricane or flood? Governance shouldn't be akin to a natural disaster.

Thank you.  I do like your "governance shouldn't be akin to a natural disaster.  And I appreciate your kind compassion even when we're on different sides of the matter.
