Don't bother

For months now I've been seeing videos on Youtube about the Dubai chocolate bars with pistachio filling and thought "Id like to try one of those". I was out a little while ago and happened to see them for sale and got one. They look rich, decadent and delicious. I mean, I like pistachios, I like chocolate, so there's nothin' to lose, right ?

Wrong.

This is a $20 candy bar and honest opinion, it's just not worth it. It's not BAD it's just not all that good and certainly not $20 good. This filling is gritty, the chocolate is basically what you'd get on a Hershey's and the flavor is just......weird.
Will I finish it ? Probably. Like I said it's not bad and I don't want to waste my money, so eventually I'll eat the rest of it.

All in all though, just spend your $20 on a few Snickers.

At first glance, I thought it was full of weed/marijuana!

I think any chocolate bar with that much of a dry type off filling would be like eating flavoured saw dust.  Shocked2

It's not a dry filling, it's the same as peanut butter, just made with pistachios.

I like Reeses peanut butter cups, but I don't care much for pistachios, so I would never buy them.  There are some decent organic peanut butter cups out there, but even though my favorite nut is the cashew, the organic cashew cup wasn't very good, also cashew butter was a letdown when I bought that one time.

Those organic peanut butter cups I bought were not much more than Reeses of the same size.  Not all organic peanut butter cups are good either, the ones at the coop are good, they add enough sugar to them, some taste like crap if there isn't enough sugar in them.

Ahhh OK, but still that much of a 'something' butter as a filling would be pretty harsh on the mouth, like eating PVA glue with saw dust mixed in.  Lol

I had bought the same type of chocolate bar in Yellowknife NWT for my wife and I to try, just before flying home and we both said the exact same thing. Gritty, bit dry and horrendously overpriced. Apparently they are made right there in Yellowknife as well, and I didn’t even like the chocolate either.

They also had a peanut butter one as well that I did like (I ate that one on the plane and didn’t share), but again the chocolate seemed subpar.

They were each about $20 as well.

I had one of those mushroom chocolate bars once. It said eat 1/4 for a buzz, 1/2 to get high and the whole thing if you want to take off. so i figured i would eat half.  I dont like dark chocolate especially with a mushroom flavor to it so I ate the whole thing. Totally worth the 40 bucks i spent on it

Whenever someone (esp. on YouTube etc.) needs to tell the world how great something is... it probably sucks.

I have long-established go-to chocolates, and it'll take more than an influencer to change me.  Thumbup
