Does anyone else...

@Vulture

Yes.
Environmentally
Geo-politically
U.S. federalizing metro-police, shutting down science and dissent, & etc.

On the environment:
A myth:

Once upon a time, long before humans
there were great beasts, and massive bio-plant stuffs.

And Kronos(the massive hydrocarbonic one) did bite off and swallow
the genitals of Ouranos.
From that inception did grow Zeus.
and Zeus did burst forth from Kronos.

After the mighty battle
the forces of Olympus did cast the hydrocarbon monsters and Kronos(the great carbon sink) himself
into the depths of Tartarus deep in the Earth.

In the fullness of time
and under certain conditions of nitrogen, oxygen, and carbon dioxide, did humans evolve.

They fought for survival against megafauna until they became the apex predator of the World.
Then tribes gave way to cities
cities gave way to nations
and empires.

Everything was going okay until
Industrial revolution.
To find fuel for energy the humans dug and drilled into the Earth.

What once was buried
was unburied.

From Tartarus, Kronos has been awakened.
-------
That's the mythological story of humans engineering their own extinction by reversing the process which made their evolution possible. It's a fatal terraforming project. Tipping points have passed. We're doomed.
There's a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people. - Commander William Adama

I say this as my dog (we're in Texas) is acting funny.  He doesn't like going out at night anymore through the doggy door.  He also refuses to go on walks barely stepping foot in the yard opting to rather observe from the door.  The times I am able to get him outside on a leash he sticks close to the side of the house before pulling back to the door.

Even our neighbors two little annoying dogs which casually roam the neighborhood due to their gate constantly being open are quiet. I can see them inside the backyard but it's like they refuse to come out.  I suppose it could be a predator of sorts, but there really isn't any in this area as it's highly populated.

I can't help but have a feeling that's something off, possibly building up to something.  Or I can just have a case of good old paranoia!  Lol

But anyone else noticing anything funky lately?  Or have a feeling that something is looming?

Hopefully, the Epstein list/information.

Something is always coming.

Suffice to say we live in very interesting times.

I have a healthy dose of paranoia / skepticism.  That's why I skipped the whole Covid vaccinations.  I had covid twice, it was literally just sweating and being tired.  My wife's 98 year old immunocomprimised grandmother got it, she came out fine.

I'm not against vaccinations mind you, but experimental, untested vaccines is a no-go.

Speaking about being prepared, I'm pretty confident in what I have gathered so far.  I'm not new to the survivalist / prepping lifestyle.

Thanks for everyone's comments and takes.  I always try to get a lot of different POV's to enhance my own.

I thought about this a bit more, because yes I'm usually the first person to feel that 'quickening.'

Well it seems a lot of people agree they feel like they woke up in The Twilight Zone around 5-10 years ago.

Was it Trump? Covid? Smartphones?

My theory is the latter. Overstimulation and constant media bombardment is accessible like never before!

Information overload and people are being asked to process more. People care more about their devices than their neighbors.

It's not a quickening that's coming, it's a social environmental change that's in progress.

We're being shot through a tunnel right now and I think there is an anticipation and expectancy of light on the other side.

I feel it, OP.

Well Mr. Farms, I've felt a downward spiral since around 2008.  However, over the past couple of months I feel like it's coming to a head.

From UFO's to war, to protest and natural disasters.  Could it be a mix of HAARP and Bluebeam building up to "finish the job"?  Who knows, all I know is that I feel like there's something coming.

I'm in California, near the State capital, and everything seems fine here. At least in my vicinity. In fact, we've had an unusually temperate summer so far; only a handful of days above 100°F. Normally we would have had double digits worth of days in the oven.

That said, I admit that the recent spate of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions around the "Ring of Fire"  has me slightly alerted. Not so much because of their occurrence, but because of how "quiet" the US west coast has been through this current episode.

It's almost as if seismic activity is being somehow "blocked" from the Canadian border in Washington State to the Mexican border of California.

And that does not seem like a "good", or even, a natural, thing to be doing.

Beyond that, I would be fooling myself if I didn't say that the political climate, and it's effect on the general social "temperature", is very concerning. To the point that I'm not sure many people are still capable of recognizing rational thought..

The analogy I'm currently most fond of is  that of some one who, reading the health warning on their pack of cigarettes, removes the cigarettes from the package, and places them in a fancy cigarette case, thinking that by doing so the cigarettes are now, somehow, no longer dangerous.

Denial? Delusion?

Or have we just lost the ability (or the Will?) to discern the difference?

Yes. I do feel that. It is odd.

I also feel nothing will happen.

And I also feel like a year or two from now, we will look back and say "oh, those were the days; nothing was happening so much slower back then!"

It is phantom accelerationism.

An interesting take, UltraBudgie.  It's kinda the way I feel, too.  Like it's building up to something yet whatever that something is won't really happen.  I wonder if it's a "boiling frog" scenario.
