I used to be scared to drive to the city. It was scary. The former murder capital of the world.

Home of General Motors, Ford and Chrysler. 

Detroit has a wonderful Greektown. If you like flaming cheese. It’s the place.

American Coney Island and Lafayette Coney Island. These restaurants are located right next to each other on Lafayette Street in downtown. 

The coney hotdog is amazing. Topped with onion, chili and mustard. Yum

Detroit borders Canada. The only way to get into Canada from Detroit is via an underground tunnel that was built in the Detroit river. Years ago when driving through the tunnel you could see leaks. 

Detroit also has a massive bridge that goes into Canada if you are not the tunnel type.

Detroit has a beautiful river walk. The sights are amazing if you like to people watch.

You can see ocean going freighter's on the Detroit river. I would not fish on the Detroit river.

We are the home of the Wonder Bread baking company. It’s now a casino.
