That doesn't sound like something that you could blame on the leftists and liberals?
The DC stat cheating accelerated heavily in 2023 when Trump wasn't President.
Officials thought there was an advantage to have DC look safer than it was, and it helped mask illegal migrant crime.

. . . especially when they get paid off to cheat

You do realize that the time frame of when they were allegedly modifying data was in 2025 when Trump sent the troops in to DC, and that Trump had claimed that crime in DC had been reduced by 30%?
It turns out that sending the troops in didn't reduce crime as Trump lied. And that these guys are accused of falsifying data to support Trump's lies.
The truth is that overall crime statistics across the USA have been reducing for decades since the peak in the 1970's and that the overall rate of change of crime has been consistent with that reduction since the 70's, proving that Trump's calling in of the troops had absolutely no foundation in fact, and that he even had people trying to manipulate data to justify his lies.

Unless they they are the type that would blame the other guy for what they are doing themselves.

But they do have everything to do with Trump sending in troops to fight a crime wave that wasn't happening, and then suggesting that the crime rates were lower because he had sent in the troops.
Neither was true.
He lied, and then he doubled down again, all the while contravening the Constitution.

D.C. data manipulation was accelerated in 2023. Biden was President, Garland was AG.
Manipulation has been proven for decades. Audits are proof.

Unfortunately, The Democrat Committee reports leave out the fact that NG presense helped deter as intended. The NG was not intended for actual arrests and hard direct enforcement. The presense works well just like in other cities. And those guilty officials that are manipulating are likely going to prison.

(05-08-2026, 06:06 AM)chr0naut Wrote: Any systematic interference in data, like one that has a noticeable bias in outcome would be, can be quite trivially removed.
For instance if a 50Hz sinewave hum was introduced in an audio recording, it can be post-processed out by application of a direct inverse of the applied 50Hz sinewave noise signal.
Truly random interference, however, is far more problematic, as there is no simple algorithm that can be applied to negate it. An example of such a random signal interference in the audio world would be the thermal noise introduced in all high-gain semiconductor amplification.
However, even that 'random' interference can be compensated for to some degree, but more by fitting the combined signal to the restraints of the original ideal intelligible input signal i.e. filtering out components that could not possibly be part of the true data signal (high and low bandpass filtering, notch filtering and narrowband noise gating are just some practical examples of how this works in the audio realm).
So, non-systematic errors are actually harder to identify and remove than any systematic intention to skew the data. If the scope of interference can be quantified, even approximately, it can be mostly negated.
When you are talking about data sets of numbers; noise, errors and falsification are mostly perceptually indistinguishable from each other.
I have no idea how you think any of that applies in this case. It is just falsely reporting a count.
A mistake would be putting the numbers in the wrong column or transposing the digits in some numbers. A simple review of the entries compared to the source of the entries would reveal where corrections should be made before reporting the findings.
Now intentionally changing the numbers in the source count is harder to detect as you have to review what was counted. In this case, that was what was actually done. There is evidence of it.
Again, why do you think intentionally miscounting and reporting something is not a problem at all? Try that with your income taxes and let us know what happens.
I know too much and question everything.
Does anyone know the minimum safe distance of ignorance?
Did anyone ask the monkeys how much fun the barrel actually was?

Nope. Not true.
Here's some sources with specifics of the time frame from before Trump began pressuring broadcasters to spin news his way (please read the dates from their by-lines):
DC police commander suspended, accused of changing crime statistics - NBC4 Washington - July 18 2025
Oversight Committee Releases Bombshell Report Revealing D.C.’s Police Chief Deliberately Manipulated Crime Data - 14 December 2025
MPD Quietly Terminates Officials Over Crime Stat Manipulation: REPORT (note this report mentions that the allegations were of misreporting in October and December of 2025)
News broadcasters, even overseas ones, are currently being pressured by the Trump administration to spin the news in favour of Trump, in ways that they weren't only months ago.
So all you have to do is follow the topic thread of the articles back to their origins to see the truth.

That (un)reasoning works both ways.
It is clear that Trump lied that there was a crime problem, when there wasn't, and then claimed that he had reduced crime by a large amount, when he didn't.
It's just like Trump saying that the whole Epstein thing was a Democrat hoax, while also saying that he was the only politician who prosecuted Epstein, at the time when others did nothing. His lies are obvious.
