D.I. Tutorial -- Quote button -- How it works.

Ok, problem.: I posted a reply let’s call it post 1. I go away. I reread the thread later. Oops, I missed a friend Who replied before post 1, how rude, I need to reply to friend, but I don’t want to make a new post, I want to edit post 1 and add quote of friends post.

How do I get the quote from the reply I missed into my old post 1?

Brilliance, I will quote friend in a new post 2, copy their quote, delete post 2 before posting it, and paste the quote into post 1…. Err..nope, it won’t work. Thats how I did it in ATS but don’t work here. I can’t copy the quote in post 2., I can copy the info in the quote, but not the whole box with the "friends-username wrote".

Hit reply on Post 2 and use the "Source" button on the editor. Then copy the bit that looks like this:

Then close that editor and edit your response to Post 1, and paste it in at the bottom.

Or there may be other ways to do it too.

Yes, thanks UB. I experimented with method n.3 and it doesn't work for editing posts. So. the 'source' editor is the only way.
