We are in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. Essentially it’s a city that wraps around Guadalajara. 

My wife is local and I have the privilege of being married to her. We have a cabin in Alberta, Canada where I use as a base to work in the Arctic from.

My Daughter and her boyfriend are down with us, so we will be going into Guadalajara and all around during the festivities!

I've considered moving to Mexico for many decades... but obviously haven't done so.  I have another friend who is married to a Mexican woman, and they are down there frequently.
