It seemed to be a consensus with the researchers that it was some sort of heat element that interacted with the cellulose and/or moisture in the plant or entire plant including roots and soil (which were all affected, supposedly).

I understand why you can't or won't believe it, because just a few years ago I took the same stance.

However, now, with these research findings, I'm not so sure any more. I'll keep my mind open on this one for now.

That account for many cases, but not all cases, the phenomenon is very trick, once something is regarded as definitive, then other aspects started to appear, after this phase some started to focus on electromagnetic effecs, only to find out that not all circles had this effect. and also to discover that some mal formed circles were authentic.

yes, very annoying when arguing with them and they ignore first-hand evidence while insisting that everything presented must fit in to the model they believe and if it doesn't it's suspect.

personally, i suspect some circles and phenomena are fake, some are a human psyop, and quite likely some portion are something else. not sure what.


edit: meh, i'm being too hard on them perhaps. they're fun, and interesting to engage with at least. usually. it's nice to have models challenged, although i can see why they piss some people off.

There are whole books proclaiming flat earth.  I’ve even been told by flat earther solar eclipses are only possible on a flat earth.

I’m sorry you don’t understand how microwaves actually interact with the cellulose of a plant and simply can’t result in the physics you need.  

I asked / posted something very simple.

As in there are video of people actual making crop circles. Where you have what?  Innuendo and misrepresentation of what happens when plants are microwaved.  Do the plants used in crop circles even have joins like you need.  And what happens when you cook a joint segment in a microwave oven?  Does it bend?

Let’s go through what can be proven.
 
Lasers and plasma cutters are used in industry to cut through steel like butter.
 
I guess maybe laser and LASIK might be your best bet.  But LASIK reshapes the lens of the eye by removing small amount of the corneal tissue.  So.  Probably not.  Lasers really don’t create a force to bend cellulose. 
 
So.  Lasers and plasma reshapes by removing material and would super heat water replicating a cooking process.  Breaks down cellulose so it loses its ability to maintain a rigid shape.  
 
People once free of iron objects survive the strong magnetic fields of MRIs just fine.  From hair to blood cells with iron.  Nobody has to get bent.  Wonder what happens when you place a stalk in a MRI machine and scan it.  I seriously doubt it will bend.  Prove me wrong.

I dabbled in magnet fishing.  Used just a magnet rated with the force to lift 30 lbs of iron weight.  Seen 100 pound rated magnets used.  The magnets with magnetic fields much more concentrated than the earth’s magnetic field did not interact magnetically with plants.  Plants did get snagged like when using fishing lines and lures.
 
We can cook broccoli in microwave ovens with stalks larger in diameter than most plants targeted by crop circles.  But the plant goes limp and changes colors. 
 
Where to bend anything takes a force.  In the direction the force is applied, the object is going to compress and bend in line with the applied force.  The opposite side is going to elongate.  
 
 
So?  What’s been proven to lay crops over.  Hailstones, wind, and humans.  Where there is no evidence lasers, radiation, magnetic fields can apply a force to bend cellulose.
