Hello,
This past weekend I managed to get a decent shot of our cosmic guest! Comet C/2023 A3 - I also tossed in a few others I recently imaged as a bonus! I hope you enjoy.
Images were taken with a 50mm Triplet apochromatic scope. IMX462 sensor. 250mm ( F5 ) The nebula photos were taken with an Ha and OIII narrowband filter. Comet was 2min exposure. The 3 nebula below were 40min to 2 hours.
Next is the Crescent Nebula. Its an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus, about 5000 light-years away from Earth.
Next is the Eagle Nebula, commonly known as "The Pillars of Creation". It consists of three towers of gas and dust standing light-years tall. Inside those dusty spires, stars are being born!
Finally, We have The Elephants Trunk Nebula. The Nebula is a concentration of interstellar gas and dust within the much larger ionized gas region IC 1396 located in the constellation Cepheus about 2,400 light years away from Earth.
