Civil Discourse Policy Regarding Israel and Hamas Discussion
#1
We understand that discussions about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the actions of Hamas and Israel can evoke strong emotions and diverse opinions. It's important to maintain respectful dialogue while discussing these complex issues.

However, I want to make it unequivocally clear: antisemitism has no place in our forums. Regardless of your stance on the political situation, targeting individuals or groups based on their Jewish identity is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

Any posts or comments that promote anti-Semitic views, stereotypes, or hate speech may result in account termination. Our community values inclusivity, respect, and constructive debate. Let's ensure that our discussions reflect these principles.

Thank you all for understanding and for helping to maintain a positive and respectful environment for everyone.

Thank you.   It needed to be said.   Clear, unambiguous policy.   Well done Thumbup Thumbup

I would like to believe that it needn't be said.

That people generally understand the nature of their own biases, and will exercise self-restraint when airing their own prejudice.
But some people might need it to be spelled out. I suppose some folks are controlled by their words...

And perhaps equally important, that it is NOT that anyone is being specially "protected"... it's that everyone is being protected.
I would think that any such bias and mean-spirited evocation of disdain and disrespect for some particular group of people is simply not welcome in our discussions.
