Solvedit, crazy part is LORD JESUS CHRIST or ISA (the 7 eyed lamb) was not a Christian.
At times I wonder how FATHER feels about the crucifix. A symbol of his son being attacked on planet EA*RTH.

It does go against the 2nd Commandment from Moses in making a carved image. God is no longer about everything and is now a tribal symbol, something to divide and cause conflict. As a kid sitting in church, looking at the crucifix in the background, it sends a strong message to not screw up and find yourself nailed to a cross. Now ... about that not making graven images. Exodus 20:4 - You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth" The purpose of that commandment was not to make images to WORSHIP as a god. Idolatry. No one worships the crucifix as a god. It is a reminder of the love of Christ for people, that he died to give us salvation. And a reminder, God Himself gave the command to make images for religious purposes, not to worship themselves, but to be used for religious purposes just like the crucifix is ... “[The Lord said] make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. . .” (Ex. 25:18-19). “You shall make the tabernacle with . . . cherubim skillfully worked” (Ex. 26:1). “The Lord said to Moses, `Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and every one who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.’ So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole” (Num. 21:8-9). “He made two cherubim of olivewood, each ten cubits high. . . . He put the cherubim in the innermost part of the Temple . . . And he overlaid the cherubim with gold. He carved all the walls of the Temple round about with carved figures of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers” (1 Kgs. 6:23, 27-29). “[The brazen sea] stood upon [statues of] twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east” (1 Kgs. 7:25). “And on the surfaces of its stays and on its panels, he carved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths round about” (1 Kgs. 7:36).

A man on a cross, 6 pointed star, lot of strange symbols out there on religion and the topic of god. I get how there is a lot in those stories and some way to encapsulate it helps. There is also a lot of different interpretations and over simplifications of who is guilty and who is not. For another view that is on topic: (03-21-2026, 06:21 AM)FlyersFan Wrote: Who wins when a conflict happens ... Khan and his horde who have a burnt Earth policy or a village of peaceful Christians who turn the other cheek? Keeping the afterlife out of discussion as to 'winning' ... it seems pretty obvious who will come out on top of that situation. The love of the Christians won't make the Kahn horde put down their weapons and share a meal. Throughout history, Christianity has spread more by using "burnt Earth policy" such as employed by Khan, than it has by following the teachings of Jesus. Its not a fair comparison though. Jesus did not come to conquer the world, he came to save it. Jesus was trying to teach people how to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Will Durant was talking about building kingdoms on earth. When Jesus comes back to judge the world, things will be different altogether.

With the emphasis that Jesus is no longer on it. So a little less terrifying, i always thought. Not that one is right and the other wrong. They just highlight different parts of the same story.

Yeah, it's misleading or at least confusing to compare Jesus with Genghis Khan. Jesus taught us peace, forgiveness, and love. While Genghis Khan led violent conquests and built an empire. They had completely different purposes and impacts. One's kingdom is here on Earth, and the other, allegedly, not of this world.

For self defense, for defense of others, for defence of a nation, etc. Take David and Goliath as an example. Again, the ones translating did not speak or read the language they were translating from. I know too much and question everything.
