I saw this article and wondered about who crafted the title...

Cern researchers are testing traps capable of moving antimatter, which explodes into energy as soon as it comes into contact with regular matter

When the truck pulls away from the building at Cern, the European particle physics laboratory near Geneva, all eyes will be on its precious cargo, a one-tonne device containing some of the most exotic material on Earth.

The 20-minute test run around the campus, pencilled in for later this month, will mark the world’s first attempt to transport antimatter, a substance so delicate that when it meets normal matter, both are consumed in a burst of pure energy.

To reach this moment has taken years. But if the test goes well – meaning the truck returns with the antimatter intact – it will pave the way for Cern to transport the material to other laboratories. 

The amounts being transported are not dangerous and pose only a threat to the experiment itself... will the device contain the anti-matter?

If the Ice cream truck rolls by playing some silly tune over a speaker...
I think one of these trucks should be sounding off with some industrial death metal.

But it's not April 1 yet. 

Years ago there was an article in an electronics magazine about antimatter. It was an April tradition to have at least one April fools article. This one was about the US Navy giving away a gram of antimatter to any lab that wanted it after they had some in surplus form some experiments. It was about safety procedures and battery capacity for magnetic bottles. Specifically about because of a delay in shipmemt, a UPS truck exploded when the antimatter hit the container when it's batteries went dead.

Biggest question: who's doing the trucking?

Can think of certain US carriers, where the chances of the package getting lost, getting mangled, and showing up unscathed are all about even.

Bad enough when a pallet of equipment shows up on its side or trashed by forklifts; would kinda hate to put a box of antimatter in the same scenario...
