Britain might lose the Falkland Islands
#1
I was wonder why king Charles was coming to America clearly to ask us for assistance with the Falkland Islands. If only our so called friends hadn't been total smegheads when it came to letting us use a few of their bases for one of our operations. Argentina seems to be doing well lately maybe they should take control of their islands back it's not like the Royal Navy has more than 4 ships that they could send to stop them from taking them anyhow.

Quote:Argentina’s vice president has told residents of the Falkland Islands to “go back to England”, after a leaked memo from the Pentagon suggested the US could review its position on Britain’s claim to the territory.

“The American press is a shame and a reproach to a civilized people. When a man is too lazy to work and too cowardly to steal, he becomes an editor and manufactures public opinion.”

I thought the monarchy of U.K. had no real power over governmental/military operations (?)

Might wish to ask the islanders where their allegiances lie.

Freedom of speech and all that jazz.

And i think you may find they wish to remain British...

Not that Trump could point to the place on a map.  Saint2

Real political and military power rests with the elected government.

Mainly the Prime Minister and Parliament.

Trump's just butthurt over aircraft carriers that he was offered......and didn't want.

Anyhoo, where are those Epstein files again?  Saint2

Gibraltar is also a little island...

Insignificant as the Falkland Islands are.

They are British citizens.

And as far as i can establish

The vast majority wish to remain so...

And that's all she should have written, mate...

But as a diversionary tactic and/or to signify spite...

Well, this is what the man does.

He doesn't care what 3,600 odd islanders have to say.

But he will happily use their home as a pawn.

Or he will if he thinks it will get him what he wants, or to shift the spotlight to fields afar.
