Breaking: Comey Indictment Coming--MSNBC

James Comey will be indicted...according to an MSNBC reporter.
Quote:WASHINGTON, Sept 24 (Reuters) - Former FBI Director James Comey is expected to be indicted in the Eastern District of Virginia in the coming days, MSNBC reported on Wednesday, citing three sources.

"The full extent of the charges being prepared against Comey is unclear, but the sources believe that at least one element of the indictment—if it goes forward--will accuse him of lying to Congress during his testimony on September 30, 2020 about whether he authorized a leak of information," a MSNBC reporter wrote on X.

THIS is long overdue...but, the source is a Tweet from an MSNBC reporter...so who knows if it's accurate.
The reporter cites three sources...so, hopefully, they've got it right...this time.

Maybe someone read his thriller "A Higher Loyalty". Page 163 is a barn burner.

Comey spent his time trying to prove that she knew what she was doing, which is not possible.

He acknowledges that there was classified information that was mishandled.
"In all, there were 36 email chains that discussed topics that were classified
as "Secret" at the time. 8 times in those thousands of emails exchanges over 4 years, Clinton and her team talked about topics designated as "Top Secret" at the time..."

"Put another way, there were 36 email chains about topics that could cause "serious" damage to national security and 8 that could be expected to cause "exceptionally grave" damage to the security of the United States if released."

So what was she thinking? Question

Comey continued to ponder this meanwhile the FBI staff were in semi revolt.

Page 171
"We knew that the DOJ would never bring- and had never brought- criminal charges in such a situation without strong evidence that the subject of our investigation knew what she was doing she shouldn't be doing."
Clinton claimed she thought the server was protected because their house was guarded by Secret Service. Comey bought that?

When she was questioned on the Saturday of the July 4th weekend Comey made certain he didn't attend and then asserted that no written or audio tape was taken of the interview, because well we just don't do that.

Page 174 is going to drag down Loretta Lynch-

"But in early 2016, there was a development that threatened to challenge that effort significantly. A development still unknown to the American public to this day. At the time, we were alerted to some material that had come into the possession of the United States government. they came from a classified source- the source and content of the material remains classified as I write this. Had it become public, the unverified material would undoubtedly have been used by political opponents to cast serious doubt on the attorney general's independence in connection with the Clinton investigation."

Comey had some very interesting meetings with President Trump. He did something very peculiar.
He began to take notes of their conversations and shared them with senior staff members. He then messed around with the classification and made copies and put them in his safe at his residence. When Trump fired him, Comey went to a friend who leaked the contents to the press."
The big problem was that there was no one who could corroborate his account- so he could have made up whatever.

Page 237  President Trump met with Comey-

"I need loyalty. I expect loyalty.
During the silence that followed, I didn't move, speak, or change my facial expression in any way. The president of the United States just demanded my loyalty. This was surreal."

Page 241-
"I need your loyalty.
I paused, again. You'll always get honesty from me. He paused. That's what I want, honest loyalty."

Page 268 "On Friday, May 12, President Trump tweeted a warning to me and his 38 million followers: 'James Comey better hope there are no tapes of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press'."

Just speculating here but here we have Comey making up these notes about their private conversations- especially focusing in on Trump's apparent request to let Flynn off- let it go."
At this point it is his word against Trump's.

What if Trump had tapes that would disprove Comey's notes? Funny how that works.

Page 269 Comey is worried. Really worried.

He's a slippery one. He decides what's classified and what isn't.
"To be clear this was not a leak of classified information no matter how many times politicians, political pundits, or the president called it that. A private citizen can may legally share unclassified details of a conversation with the president with the press, or include that information in a book."

Sooo what was Trump thinking?

Because of his actions a special counsel was appointed, starring Robert Mueller.

Throughout the book Comey plays loose with the legal boundaries to justify his actions.

Page 51 he takes on Martha Stewart. "Everyone lies at some point in their life. The important questions are where, about what, and how often."

The case was based on her insider trading activity. There were serious rumors that he was bringing this case to get famous. "That I was celebrity hunting- tipping the scales of justice to make an example of someone who had been in the public eye."

"Charging Martha Stewart was my first experience with getting a lot of hate and heat for a decision that had been carefully and thoughtfully made. People could not, for the life of them, understand how I could make a mountain out of a molehill in an effort to ruin Martha Stewart."

"The Stewart experience reminded me that the justice system is an honor system. We really can't tell when people are lying or hiding documents..."

In this case this was about $50K, not national security and no doubt he wanted to be seen as a rising star.
"In the middle of all these massive cases that we were working on so hard to make, why did I want to have anything to do with Martha Stewart? It was a marginal case about a rich person who sold some stock because her friend did. We had some evidence if we took an aggressive view of the law..."

She came out of the club med jail $200 million richer.

Quite the difference in how he treated Clinton. If you happen to read the book you will discover his higher loyalty-

Page 205 Line, 20 "Come with me to October 28", I said.
Billy the Gates birthday is October 28th.

October 28 is also mentioned on page 203. [Phoebe Gates was 23 on September 14/25.
This is relevant, very relevant.
Also on page 127.

Billy has infiltrated everywhere, a clear and present danger.

I think you're missing some things here.

1) It is SOP for FBI agents to write up a report of a conversation or an interview with an individual immediately afterwards when there is a chance that the information could be used in some legal proceedings, later on.  They're trained to do it. Usually these conversations/interviews are conducted by two agents, with one taking notes and the other one doing the talking. The information is memorialized on a standard form FD-302 and signed by both agents so it can be used as evidence in court, if necessary.  But Trump insisted on meeting privately with Comey, so SOP was not a possibility.  That's why Comey chose to write a personal memo, date it,  and share it with an individual he trusted.  While it is true that either Trump or Comey could have made up a fictitious story about the conversation after the fact and it would have been one man's word against the other, the fact that Comey immediately wrote up the memo, signed it, dated it, and got someone else to witness it, means that Comey was deliberately taking steps to remove the possibility of him changing his story, after the fact.  If the issue of the conversation between the two men had ever been in contention, that action by Comey would have been evidence that he had no intention of dishonesty.

2) If Trump had tapes that would disprove Comey's notes, then he probably would have released them by now to prove that Comey was a liar. That would be entirely within his power to do, even today.

3) Nothing slippery about it; the Director of the FBI was granted original classification authority up to the Top Secret level by Obama under Executive Order 13526, and Trump never changed it. And if the Director of FBI classifies it, then he can also declassify it.

4) What was Trump thinking?  Probably thinking about Hope Hicks.

You would also think that 34 felony convictions matter but in today's crazy world nothing really makes sense.

Maybe because that was nothing more than a sham trial?    Funny how the “victim” got paid with interest, wants to do business with this person again and it was a victimless crime, no one got hurt financially or physically but people act like he’s committed murder, just stupid.   The left certainly loves repeating it ad nauseam though. Lol
Apparently I’m in cult now, someone here told me so.
