Bracket Challenge
#1
Okay, so I unofficially made a real ESPN group as a joke, but I love the Bracket Challenge, and I hope this doesn't violate 3rd party or off site cross-posting T/C. I originally posted it as a "meme," but it's an interactive one.

All you need is an email, any email, any name, I used my BS internet pseudonym. And I don't see crap as admin of this group.

It seemed like a fun way to do a March Madness group for people on this site, that may care, and let ESPN score it.

2 days to get a submission in if you want to play.

I think I over-estimated the appeal of college basketball at conspiracy sites. Or over-estimasted peoples willingness to set up an account in a game I set up..

So.... winner gets to pick my avatar for a week if there are 4 or more entries? I don't think I'm allowed to award Venmo.

You aren't alone and hell I set up one on my NFL team's website and got bupkis, got 8 last year and 3 this year. I was a bit disappointed myself.

DID somebody ace the final 4

My Final Four was MSU, Florida, Arizona, Houston.

I correctly picked the Championship game. But a person picking chalk could have nailed this years final four too. I'm not that impressed.

I honestly stopped following too closely after the sweet sixteen. Gets less fun when your school gets knocked out.

If you say so...

Im still impressed most times people want to cram in an underdog or upset.

2 or 3 maybe but all 4 #1s are rare AF

Two #1s in the finals though is 10 times, which is more than I thought

Quote:Since the tournament began seeding in 1979, all four #1 seeds have advanced to the Final Four only twice as of April 6, 2025:
  • 2008: Kansas, Memphis, North Carolina, and UCLA. Kansas won the title, beating Memphis in the championship game.
  • 2025: Auburn, Duke, Florida, and Houston. This year's Final Four is set for April 5, 2025, with the championship game on April 7, 2025, so the outcome is still pending as of today.
Before 2025, 2008 was the only instance in the modern seeding era (post-1979) where all four #1 seeds reached the Final Four.
