The only reason I noticed is one day it basically jumped from the 2,000s to the mid 4,000s then climbed all the way to the 10,000s and now it seems to have stabilized in the 6,000s. Just watching the numbers fluctuate and wondering why.

That's a good observation, before ATS was shutdown and during the time no new accounts could be made I could see that hundreds of accounts seem to be created each day like some bot software was just cranking out accounts that never posted they had zero post even if they were years old. Whatever it was had been going on for a long time.

I also noticed yesterday that when I entered DI's address in the search bar a 'are you human' notification box popped up, it's not happening today. Maybe you are right, maybe it's some bot software.

Why are you monitoring the traffic to this site? Have you found anything interesting about the traffic coming to this site that is thread worthy?

Another thing about higher traffic is that may mean higher donations, which may mean TSK can buy top notch servers and other things so we can have nice things.

Great to see this board is online in a new form. Found it mentioned on Reddit when checking on whether ATS was gone forever. The lack of postwhores, annoying ads and trolling nutwhacks makes this site better than the last one. I also like the more standard layout. All the categories are still there. Missing the "New Threads" sortie that shows all the topics over the whole domain listed in the order they were created. I didn't receive my confirmation email, using Outlook, but obviously I am permitted to post now 24 hours after I joined. If you have personal questions you can ask them of me here. Good day!

I have found the active threads algorithm sometimes useful, maybe you will as well.

I read some things there, I am not a member or even posted there. It's just a free for all whine fest. From what I've seen, it doesn't have to devolve, just say something that the Mods have a differing personal opinion about and they'll ban you.

From what I've seen, butthurt and feelz rule the day, logic and facts be damned.

It depends on what topics and subjects you are visiting on Reddit. I don't see much whining at all, more humor than anything, but I don't read topics about ideas, politics, religion, or philosophy. I read the science articles, movie streams, sometimes taking a look at the ufos subreddit to see what's new, but overall not much of anything but practical, skeptical, observational objectivity. Reddit is a vast site with topics on about anything you can think of.

In 2012-2013 I participated in a lot of discussions. There were some awesome topics such as the Mars rover with threads by people that worked at NASA who would point out anomalous things they were seeing on the surface. That was great. But then some turmoil shut those threads down and they quit talking about it. I made a few dozen threads, the most active of them being a sun anomaly compilation from the sun observation satellites. I visited once again around 2015-2016 and saw it was starting to go downhill and then more recently the last gasp of what little was left.

That's useful and nice but I liked the full documentation list because you didn't miss anything and sometimes the best topics were the ones that weren't very active. Thanks.
