#11
For the important stuff, I use KeePass 1.43 Portable version on a USB stick for the passwords. Version 2.x has more networking features.

I'd either lose the damn external HD.....but then you want to keep it always connected....
But it doesn't mirror the computer, so yo still have to install your browsers, etc.   Sigh.....I was hoping to backup pretty much everything.

When my computer crashed, it was after an update or something IIRC.....whatever happened it was all corrupted.  We tried to fix it.....had some help from some ATSers.
Sucks about your monitor...always at the most inconvenient times.

Similar experience also, not during COVID all the same.

But i managed to pick up some ransomware that locked all the files on my drives.

Most of such i could recover or redownload from other places.

However, we lost all the pictures on the drive, which amounted to about 5 years worth, and included the likes of my daughter after being born and other baby pictures.

Sore'yin really but you live and learn.
