No ... they are saying the glove matches the gloves in the video at the house.
They haven't said anything about DNA in the house matching DNA on the glove (yet).

TV News now reporting that the sheriff, who has botched this from the beginning, is now stating that the Guthrie family, including the kids and spouses, are in the clear and not suspects.

A little premature in my opinion.

What is going on there?

If her daughter wasn't a High Profile Host on NBC they would have forgotten about the case long ago.

I would say, no one is in the clear until definite id of abducter/killer is arrested and tried. How can they "clear" someone when they dont even know what the hell they are doing in the first place? Maybe they said that so the family can relax but I would think, everyone at this point is a suspect. I think, she is in Mexico probably not alive (hate to say that). It would take  24/7 monitoring to make sure Nancy is fed, taken to the bathroom, kept quiet, attending to her medical concerns ect. I do not think, unless it is family, that people now days have the patience for that.

Agreed, well said.
Nobody can be cleared until a suspect is named.

One positive thing about taking her into Mexico is the ease which they can get her the medicine she requires.
Small consolation.

When you go out and buy gloves (unless given as a gift), do you not try them on? There could be many traces of DNA in any glove from people trying them on in stores. This is very weak DNA evidence, at best.

The authorities also allowed the public to swarm over the entire area on the first day of this kidnapping discovery. So much evidence is lost or corrupted already.

At this point it’s starting to look like the JonBennet Ramsey case.  Sadly the little girl’s body was found but over 30 years later no one has been charged.

23 and me could give some insights into the background of the perp. I admit i was wondering if the family was involved, but they say not. Some say the drug cartels wouldn't get into a high profile case. It may have been some delivry driver or someone tipped off. maybe a friend of a friend of the family.

The daughter has upped the reward to £1,000,000 for information of her mum's whereabouts.
