Acquisition the US military way
#1
Most people know how messed up the Military Acquisition System is already.... Even when a weapon system is purchased and is found to not work as promised millions if not billions of dollars are used to make the POS military procurement item work. For a very long time stories on how ships, planes, weapons, you name it, that all cost a fortune are cancelled or need upgrades for such a long term that when they finally work as once promised (5 to 10 years later if ever) it is time for a new weapon as this one is obsolete already.

I can't speak to or about your existing military weapons, but I can say that the future of weaponry in war looks to be mostly digital with drones and robots, with perhaps war technology from space as well.

If the Ukrainians can build a drone for a couple of hundred dollars and take out multi-million dollar Russian armament and other equipment, it's obvious to me where the best solution lies.

Your country is very dependent monetarily on building and exporting weapons of war, so there may need to be a paradigm shift in this area.

When any toy factory can make cheap weapons that can counter multymillion dollar weapon systems,  who has the advantage? And little Billy and Sally have been training for years to use them.
I know too much and question everything.
Does anyone know the minimum safe distance of ignorance?
Did anyone ask the monkeys how much fun the barrel actually was?

[Image: patriot.gif] I really was hoping these rip off programs would actually be looked at and dissolved into something with more bang for the buck$..
