Andrew arrested - police statement in fullpublished at 20:10
Quote:We've now seen a statement from Thames Valley police, which says:
"As part of the investigation, we have today (19/2) arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.
"The man remains in police custody at this time.
"We will not be naming the arrested man, as per national guidance. Please also remember that this case is now active so care should be taken with any publication to avoid being in contempt of court.
"Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright said: “Following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office.
“It is important that we protect the integrity and objectivity of our investigation as we work with our partners to investigate this alleged offence.
“We understand the significant public interest in this case, and we will provide updates at the appropriate time.”

At first I thought this was a hoax because the report didn't give the mans name.   But then I read that it is customary for England not to name people when arrested.   And other news agencies are saying it's Andrew.

GOOD FOR ENGLAND!  Hip Hip Hoorah and all that!   Now they need to go after his ex wife, Sarah Ferguson, for knowing and aiding him in his exploits.

It's 'misconduct in public office'.
Not pedophilia?  Not rape??
More charges coming??

If found guilty of "misconduct in public office" and because it is a common-law offence.

The maximum sentence, believe it or not, is life imprisonment.

But in practice, the charge carries a sentence of about 3-10 years.

Not that i imagine the dirty bastard will ever be found guilty of "misconduct" in an actual court of law.

For a misconduct charge Cymru, im apt to ponder a slap on the wrist, and that's if they manage to prove such in a court, which i will believe when i see it happen.

My question .... is 'misconduct in public office' the only charge he'll get?
I realize you don't know the answer but I'm musing outloud.
Nothing on rape?  Nothing on pedophilia?    Just 'misconduct'?
The story broke yesterday that he was sneaking the young girls
into the palace and calling them 'Mrs Windsor'.
I'm wondering if that's the 'misconduct'.
I'm wanting to see the 'rape' and 'pedophilia' charges ...
Maybe later ...

England did good arresting him for this.
Now maybe they can hop on those Muslim rape gangs that
they've got going on because they let too many in and they
do not assimilate nor have the same values as the
native born citizens of England.

But of course that's their business ....
their decision.
