Albert K Bender And The Men In Black
#11
About the original post where some say it may be psychological, some say it's real, etc:

Why can't it be both? Not saying he's schizophrenic but schizophrenic's think people are reading their thoughts I forgot the exact terminology for it, I could call a friend and get it or a simple google search would do but it's a common delusion. However, even with said delusion, the event could have still happened. Stranger things definitely have.

Bender, a prominent figure in UFO research, claimed encounters with the Men in Black (MIB), shadowy figures who allegedly coerced him into halting his investigations into UFO phenomena. Bender recounted how these mysterious visitors, dressed in black suits and exuding an aura of intimidation, appeared unexpectedly at his doorstep. With an unsettling knowledge of his personal affairs, they delivered cryptic warnings, insisting he cease his research endeavors or face unspecified consequences.

What's particularly eerie about Bender's encounters is his claim of telepathic communication with the MIB. He described feeling as though they could read his thoughts, adding another layer of intrigue to their already unsettling presence. This aspect of his story has fueled speculation about the nature of these encounters, with some suggesting paranormal explanations and others attributing it to psychological factors or elaborate fabrication.

Bender's story has sparked intense speculation and debate within the UFO community. While some view his encounters as genuine manifestations of a clandestine effort to suppress UFO research, others question their authenticity, citing psychological factors or potential motives for fabrication. Despite skepticism, the Men in Black phenomenon remains a compelling aspect of UFO lore, continuing to inspire curiosity and speculation.

Let's back up a couple steps and look at this from a perspective loaded with a couple assumptions in as well.

Let's assume that:

A.) There really are extra-terrestrials who have some interest in Earth or mankind, and let's forget for a moment what 'form' these E.T.'s might take. And, ...

B.) Let's assume these E.T.'s are smart enough to realize the social / societal impact of the discovery of such an entity.

The logical conclusion we could draw from this would be that they would "enlist" (through whatever method) a group of people who were trustworthy enough to protect proof of their existence until such time as "humans" could properly (and maturely) deal with this entity.

This makes perfect sense to me, that such a group, call them MIB's, would exist.  They could be anything, but the highest risk would be to make them non-human.  The better alternative would be a "flashy thing" to erase their previous memories and make them oblivious to emotions and their terrestrial shortcomings.

In my mind, the 'facts is', any E.T. who has the ability to get here from some distant locale has the ability to transform mass based intelligence into mass-less knowledge.  Maybe they also have the ability to 're-generate' this intelligence into a mass based object, or maybe they don't, but this doesn't change their much higher level of intelligence than humans.

Honestly, I would expect nothing less than some form of "MIB", sanctioned or unsanctioned by some government body.

On point, I think something like an 'agency' like this is much less likely today than it may have been back in say the 50's or 60's.  The government today has become far more corrupt, and secrets equal power, and more importantly money (which equals power), so it's understandable why MIB's today are a rare thing (if they ever existed at all)

Equally, if I was an E.T., I would have seen the World culture as far more attractive in the 50's and 60's than I would view it today.  There's too much hate and volatility today than there was then.  The human race was a nicer place then.  Now, it is a seething pool of hate and excrement with corrupted minds, influenced almost exclusively by propaganda. Today, if I was E.T....I'd just sit back and wait...wait for the world below to implode onto itself, to incinerate every footprint of its very existence.

Hey Broccoli did you check out the internal documents where high ranking USAF officials were accepting the subject was actually real and actively wondering WTF was going on?

As "mainstream" as UFOlogy is today and easily and openly talked about, one would think that if these MIBs were as described, there would be a TON of encounters and visits from them.  I haven't heard of any in awhile.   Have any of the well-known players and charlatans out there even mentioned contact with them?

Apologies for the long read but there's some pretty freaky pilot 'intimidation' described below following a daylight, close range, radar/visual, EM effect case from Mexico on May 3rd, 1975.

:

Summary:

Quote:What we have here is a case where almost all of the aspects of the UFO problem are involved.

This is a UFO observation report by a pilot.

This is a UFO close encounter.

This is a daylight UFO observation.

This is a case where the reported UFOs are observed at close sight and are solid object of obvious artificial construction.

This is a report of a near air collision between an aircraft and UFOs.

This is a report of UFO that have a behaviour which is suggesting intelligent control.

This is a case of physical effects on an aircraft.

This is a radar/visual case, where a visual sighting is confirmed by independent people detecting the presence of the objects on a detection device.

This is a case where the UFOs fly away in the direction of Mount Popocatepetl, obviously a hotbed of UFO reports and allegedly some sort of hideout for extraterrestrial aircraft.

This is a case where a pilot reports his encounter publicly.

This is a case where the witness has been medically checked and interviewed. If Hynek could not speak to Los Santos Montiel, at least Jerome Clark and others could.

This is a case where the witness stood firm with his account over time.

This is a case where the witness reports that he has been repeatedly intimidated by unidentified people probably from a foreign country (UFO folklore call them "Men in Black").

Apparently the MIBs looked 'Scandinavian'..

Quote:It was only with some reluctance that he agreed to appear on a TV show, hosted by ufologist and TV personality Pedro Ferriz, to talk about his experience, live. Little did he know that his bizarre experience was to become even more bizarre.

Two weeks later, driving to the television studio, Carlos noticed a large, black Ford Galaxy limousine pull in front of him. Looking in his rear-view mirror, he noticed another car of the same type just behind him. Both cars looked brand new, as if they had just been driven out of the showroom. He described them as "cars like the one used by diplomats." The cars crowded him, forcing him to pull over and stop. He was about to get out when he realised that the other two cars had also stopped, disgorging four tall, broad-shouldered men, who were walking towards him.

The men were "Scandinavian" in appearance, with very pale skin and wearing black suits. One of them walked up to Carlos's car door, standing with his hand on it, preventing Carlos from getting out. Speaking quickly in Spanish, with a strange "mechanical" tone, the man said "Look boy, if you value your life and your family's too, don't talk any more about this sighting of yours." Stunned speechless, Carlos turned his car around and drove home; he never made it to the television studio that day.

Carlos described his experience to Pedro Ferriz two days later who (interestingly) said that he had heard similar stories from UFO witnesses before..

And one of them also popped up later that year when the witness tried to meet Project Bluebook scientist Dr Hynek.

Quote:In mid-June of the same year, Dr J. Allen Hynek (former astronomical consultant of the USAF investigation of UFOs Project Blue Book, one of the key figures in UFO research) was travelling through Mexico and, having heard about the de los Santos case, invited Carlos to his hotel to discuss his experience. Carlos went to Dr Hynek's hotel after having gone for his interview with Mexicana Airlines, with whom he had applied for a job as a pilot.

Walking up the hotel steps, Carlos was shocked to meet one of the strange men who had threatened him before. "You were already warned once," the stranger said, "You are not to talk about your experience." Carlos protested his innocence, saying that he was only responding to an invitation from Dr Hynek. At this the stranger pushed him sharply back several feet. "Look, I don't want you to make problems for yourself", he said, "And why did you leave your house at six this morning? Do you work for Mexicana Airlines? Get out of here - and don't come back."

Carlos did as he was told. This proved to be Carlos's last encounter with the strangers. Two years later, when talking to UFO researcher Jerome Clark and his friend Richard Heiden, he recalled "They were strange. They were huge, taller than Mexicans are, and they were so white. But the strangest thing of all is that all the while they were in my presence I never saw them blink."

Pretty curious one below where a FOX 10 NEWS TV Channel was reporting that 'MIBs' intercepted footage of the Phoenix lights:

Fox report by James Schnebelt.

Quote:Transcription:

FROM THE FOX-10 '10 files'...

: (on screen: stock "Phoenix Lights" footage, of lights suspended in sky)

: voiceover: Months after this (March 13) sighting there are many questions : regarding the strange lights over Phoenix. Is this a solid craft, or : merely lights in an empty sky? : What could be the conclusive evidence is now mysteriously missing. : Richard Curtis claims his home video is proof that this sighting was a : huge flying craft. And he claims his video shows a solid object in the sky : passing over his home.

: (on screen: cut to head shot of Curtis.)

: Curtis: I saw the bottom part (of the craft) as it went over Phoenix, : because the lights lit the bottom of it, and it partially blocked : out the clouds and the stars. : voiceover: Curtis called city councilwoman Frances Emma Barwood, wanting : to show her the footage. : (on screen: cut to head shot of Barwood)

: Barwood: He said he had it on two videotapes, and would I like them, so I : said, "Of course I would.", and could he give me copies of them. He said : he would. I told him how to get them to my office and to mark them : 'personal and confidential'. : (on screen: cheesy slo-mo video "re-enactment" of Men in Black walking : about)

: voiceover: But before Curtis could send copies to Barwood, he's paid a : visit by two mysterious men in black. : Curtis

voiced over MIB reenactments) They were dressed in black : suits, with black hats and sunglasses. They asked me if I had tapes for : coucilwoman Barwood, and I said "Yah, they're laying right here". They : said, "We've stopped by to pick them up." So I said, "Great!" and just : handed (the original tapes) to them.

: (on screen: cut to head shot of Barwood)

: Barwood: I didn't get them, and I have no idea who these two men were : since I have just females working in my office. Its absolutely puzzling to : me. : (on screen: cut to slo-mo MIB, one of them now holding videotapes...(!) )

: voiceover: Did the tapes ever exist, and if so were they proof of more : than "lights" in the sky? And who were these mysterious Men in Black who : allegedly took them?

: (as slo-mo MIB vid continues...)

: Curtis (voiced over): I think someone listened in on that phone call and : wanted those tapes.

: Barwood (voiced over): I can't explain it. Its just eerie. : Voiceover: The mystery continues. Jim Schnebelt, Fox-10 News. : _________ end story, cut to anchor _________ :

I wonder if these mysterious agents, if they exist, would modify their wardrobe and tactics to the 21st century? Would they still drive to people's houses and interview them? If their agenda is to stifle news of strange sightings, could they manipulate reporting in the media, including social media?

Well they're certainly mysterious mate (whatever their origin) but think the CIA has got media manipulation pretty much covered these days.

Lots of different 'terrestrial' MIB opinions out there and the ones I've read range from the NSA, NRO, DIA, the Department Of Energy and Secret Service right through to Britain's DSTI, DI55 and P&SS - some of the reported MIB characteristics and behaviours do sound extremely strange though.

The Defense Department and DIA do pop up a lot in UFO research (and many UFO documents contain their routing and transmittal codes) so many folks have speculated they're heavily involved with the subject ...but when it comes to pale, emaciated, tall, bald, long fingered, lipstick wearing men not knowing what jello, spoons or pens are then I'm completely flummoxed.

Below is some info on the infamous MIB Jello case (or jelly as we call it in England).

Quote:Every now and again, when I’m either lecturing on the Men in Black phenomenon, or being interviewed on radio on the subject, the matter of Jello surfaces. Yeah, really. It’s a fact that the MIB and Jello have a connection, as strange as it certainly sounds. Google “Men in Black + Jello” and you’ll see what I mean. You will find numerous references online to a certain case from the 1960s – involving a Man in Black and Jello. But, not everyone knows the full story. So, today, I thought I would rectify that.

..Very oddly, Major French – quite out of the blue – said that his stomach was causing him some trouble. Mrs. Butler offered him some Jello, which he quickly declined. He soon left. The next day, though, the major was back. Yet again, he complained about his stomach. Mrs. Butler again offered him a bowl of Jello, hoping that it might help. Here is where surreal became beyond surreal. For a moment or two, Major French stared at the Jello, seemingly completely unaware of what it was. He then stared at the spoon Mrs. Butler had given him, as if he had no comprehension of what it was. He then awkwardly picked up the bowl and proceeded to try and drink the Jello. Mrs. Butler went silent and stared in disbelief. Major French did not hang around, realizing, it seems, that Mrs. Butler knew something was not quite normal – which is an understatement of absolutely epic proportions. He quickly left, never again bothering Mrs. Butler
