Watching the membership of this place, all those ATS "Veterans", rushing back to a place that couldn't really give 2 flying fuchs about it's membership.

Some of us here like it just the way it was before the onslaught. ATS has morphed into it's own political echo chamber where everyone can bask in the familiarity of accepted biased communion. I really don't want to see DI morph into that.

I was a longtime lurker on ATS and essentially tapped out during the heavy US politics phase. When you and your team started here I joined.

I appreciate everything you’ve done and don’t see it as competition, more of an alternative.

I am only on my phone, so if you build something that works better via mobile, cool.
If not then I’m good.

Don’t waste a single moment worrying about what others think about you or your motives. As you know, life truly is too short to deal with the bullshit others foist upon you.

I hear what you're saying, but I take no offense. ATS has been around for a very long time, and it's hard for people to accept change, especially since I haven't made the site mobile-responsive yet. I've been a bit of a mess after my mom passed away a few months ago, and I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. With ATS going on and off randomly, making it mobile-friendly has become even more of a priority.
 
What concerns me is that a script kiddie may be at the helm of ATS now—someone who has already admitted to one of my staff that he can inject a malicious payload into his signature and infiltrate the browsers of everyone who visits that page. To me, it's just unsafe now. I don't judge anyone for going back and forth, but I think it's a bad idea.
 
DI is not the competitor of ATS; it's the successor. Though that's hard for some to swallow. Some people hate me simply because they're so miserable and bored that they need to declare someone their enemy to validate their own self-importance. Others hold grudges against the staff here for old misunderstandings or perceived problems and are only here to stir up trouble. I choose to ignore all of that. It's not my place to get emotional or angry, even if I did feel some type of way. I'm here to lead, not join in the nonsense.
 
Bright days are ahead. We're going to do great things here. Podcasts are coming, and so are contests with actual prizes and more!

I like this forum, and was at a few marginal forums. I just was banned from Trin's forum for pointing out four Chinese tyranny bot threads on the first page.  The mods should have thanked me instead, and asked for help with identifying bots.

It makes sense with Trin, same with the telescope scam. Those bots will engage new members and increase traffic, thus increasing whatever he's got going on now to make money. Nothing has changed there, I see. Is Trin still fascinated with LDS (letter jumble game) subjects?

I've always been of the opinion that ATS's down fall was Obama that election took ATS away from its normal topics and more pointed towards politics which resulted in many arguments, and it has continued that road to the present Trump days many bans as a result.

It's not so much a conspiracy site anymore more like a political debate forum.

So, I'll be lurking around this site for awhile.

It's like watching people in an abusive relationship.

Seriously, people and come and go as they please, I really don't care.  But what I do care about is people coming here to this place, bitching about ATS and practically having a meltdown because "OH NO ATS IS GONE", and then scurrying back to that very place when it comes back online, again, for how many times now?????

I'm truly surprised that no one organised a funeral last week.
