That's the rub.
Here's a hypothetical conspiracy sci-fi chain of command for the Earth:

GOD
Ialdabaoth
Tall White aliens
The Greys
Androids
Human Race

Half having fun but half serious....Cuz I don't know Jack.

I had heard the theory that they were made from either future humans or a long-forgotten human civilization, Tall White Aliens sound like the Nordics always heard the Greys were future humans coming back because their race is dying in the future that is

What rings more 'likely' to me is that the greys are a biological/machine tool for a higher race, be it Nordics or Tall Whites (I always think of tall whites as actually like a taller paler version of the greys).
Just like humans create robots to look like us, I think the hypothetical nonhuman race would make their biological/machine tools look like versions of them, but not quite. 
These grey 'android like' beings are like disposable scouts, maybe . The higher race uses them to interact with humans and also creates androids and grey/human hybrids to interface and control humanity?
There's the whole 'vibe' and even information abductees report of the greys having no soul or emotions and being jealous in that regard.

LOL one of the first download links I followed and used on ATS was the Alien Species pdf took a while to download and was basically a video game manual IIRC

Ive seen others that are well put together some suggests the Tall whites are running the show, and are in cahoots with our government

These kinds of political stunts are a window for who it on what team for those watching.

The full AI take over has been generations in the making , we have not seen the end of it yet. Hopefully it makes a good show, I am putting in for another planet otherwise if reincarnation is a thing.

Well said mate - don't agree with him all the time but thought James Corbett made some very astute observations in this audio podcast about AI 'players' and the current implementation of a fully dystopian, technocratic panopticon (all to thunderous applause).
